Soon, a graceful figure stepped into the palace.

“Your Majesty, Your Grace, I pay my respects,” Raisa said, bowing properly. After the king gestured for her to rise, she lifted her head, her gaze sweeping over Diana and the king seated at the top of the hall. Her lips curved into a polite smile, but her eyes carried a trace of disdain.

‘So they think I’m here to compete for the king’s favor and challenge the future que? What a joke, she thought, her heart filled with scorn.

‘Honestly, I’d rather that so–called ruler of the realm never set foot in my palace.‘

Her entry into the palace was nothing more than a ploy to irritate Diana, and she had no choice but to comply under Fletcher Henderson’s pressure.

Since arriving, she’d stayed in her quarters, avoiding any interaction with others.

Luckily, Diana had no interest in seeing her either.

So, even though Raisa hadn’t gone to pay her respects, Diana hadn’t sent anyone to trouble her.

The two had managed to keep their distance and coexist peacefully–until now.

To everyone’s surprise, Raisa woke up early today, had herself dolled up, and headed straight to Diana’s palace.

Her sudden actions left her personal maid, Mandy, stunned. For a moment, Mandy even thought their mistress had finally decided to stop slacking off and start vying for the king’s favor.

As they made their way to Diana’s palace, Mandy Willow was practically brimming with excitement.

After all, as the chief maid of the imperial consort, it was her duty to lead the charge when her mistress decided to compete for the king’s attention, no matter the cost.

But then, something completely unexpected happened.

Raisa entered Diana’s palace, gave a polite bow, and then… simply sat down.

Yes, she just sat down! Quietly, without saying a single word.

‘Why should I care if you don’t want me here?‘ she thought.

Raisa didn’t spare Diana a single glance. Propping her chin on her hand, she lazily turned her gaze toward the palace doors, as if the queen’s fury was nothing more than background noise.

It was obvious she was waiting for someone.

A young eunuch hurried into the hall, bowing deeply as he announced, “Your Majesty, Your Grace, Lady Raisa, Prince Regent, and the Holy Lady have arrived.”

The three most prominent figures in the hall immediately perked up, their expressions brightening with anticipation. Diana and the king both smiled warmly, though Diana’s face showed an extra hint of eagerness.

The eunuch left to relay the message, and moments later, two figures stepped through the doorway.
