After Adeline entered, Sophie immediately looked at Eliza with a smile and said, “Well? Want to come in and take a look? Of course, if you’re scared, you can just stay outside like a coward.”

Right now, she was standing right at the doorway. And her King Parasite was in that room.

She was naturally determined to lure Eliza in as well.

As long as Eliza entered that room, there would be no escape.

Dale held back his urge to rush in and see his son. He cautiously followed beside Eliza, like a guard or someone waiting for her instructions at any time.

Not because he feared death, but because he knew his wife had just repeatedly offended Eliza.

If he acted rashly again, he might truly anger her beyond reconciliation.

And by then, no one could save their family.

Besides, Dale had seen clearly just now. At this point, Sophie’s full attention seemed to be on Eliza. That meant his wife and son were not in immediate danger.

She cried, “Caleb, wake up, your mother’s here!”

Inside the room, a hoarse voice slowly rang out. “Mom?”

Sophie suddenly turned her head, confusion on her face as she looked toward the bed. Caleb actually woke up.

Her King Parasite was still in Caleb’s body, continuously controlling him. Unless she retrieved it, there was no way he could regain consciousness.

Sensing that something was wrong, Sophie slammed the door shut with a bang, then quickly rushed to the bed.

“Caleb?”

To her surprise, Caleb was really awake.
