"It's Gideon! I should get rid of a man as smart as him. Those idiots wouldn't have regained consciousness and supernatural abilities had he not created that potion."
Ophir, which had flown over and caught up, immediately spotted young Gideon's tiny figure standing directly below Analise.
"You might have taken that stab for Analise, but you're not escaping this time!" With a flash of energy, Ophir formed a transparent dagger and dove straight at young Gideon.
"Gideon!"
When Ophir's figure flashed across, Analise quickened her pace. She drew her Purification Bow and fired at Ophir without hesitation.
The arrow sliced through the sky just as young Gideon noticed the incoming figure. Ophir was descending fast—faster than Analise, whose light yellow cloak fluttered behind her.
As Ophir's blade materialized, it was instantly struck down by the Purification Arrow and vanished.
"Damn it!" Ophir gathered its energy and summoned another blade, which he hurled at young Gideon.
But young Gideon started running away after he sensed the hostility.
After a few minutes of running, young Gideon saw Analise land beside him. She blocked Ophir with a swift strike of her dagger.
Ophir, the figure in black, looked humanoid. It was possibly a male, but its features were too hazy to tell. To Analise, however, he appeared as a young man who looked like he wanted young Gideon dead.
Of course, Analise was aware that she, too, was one of Ophir's targets to be eliminated.
"Seriously! You're…" Driven crazy, Ophir brandished another transparent dagger, which it plunged at Analise.
However, Analise was vigilant. She deflected the strike and countered with a forceful kick to its lower body.
Ophir might be a system, but it could still feel pain because it was housed in a human host.
