Chapter 8
I ran into Antonio when I went to the hospital for a follow–up examination. He seemed to be waiting for me.
The result showed that I was fine, so Antonio let out a sigh of relief.
“You don’t have to do this. Maybe I was destined to lose the baby. I don’t think it’s sad.”
I hoped Mia could go to a happy family where her parents loved her.
Antonio was about to speak when Kiana ran over, knocked me away, and
held his hand.
“Antonio, I’ve been stalked lately. I’m scared. Can you come and live with me for a couple of days?”
Kiana hadn’t seen Antonio for days, but she didn’t feel weird. After all, Antonio only showed up when she asked for help.
Some of her friends had come back. She went to see if there was a better man than Antonio among her friends‘ friends. However, she ran into Kole, who started badgering her again.
Kole had something on her, so she could only count on Antonio to help her get rid of Kole.
Kiana didn’t notice Antonio’s angry, scornful look until Antonio pushed.
her away.
She looked at Antonio in astonishment, tears welling up in her eyes.
“Antonio, what is it? Did Grace get angry with you because of me? I’m sorry. I shouldn’t ask for your help so often. But I have nobody else to

help me.”
If it were before, Antonio would have agreed with whatever Kiana asked. But now, he didn’t move.
“When would you tell me the truth? The stalker is your husband, right? I am not going to meddle. If you need help, call the police.
“Besides, I’ll go take Casey away and find a good person for it. Then, it wouldn’t have to stay in the bush all night again.
“Now, is there anything you want to say?”
Kiana’s face paled. She didn’t expect Antonio to know all of that.
After some silence, Kiana turned to me and cried harder.
“Grace, I don’t know what you said to Antonio, but please don’t take Casey away. It’s all I’ve got.”
Kiana wanted to play her old trick and made me the person to blame. However, Antonio took out the evidence of her marriage and her hiding Casey to set me up.
