Before Noelle could answer, Karla patted the young man on the head and scolded, “Stanley! Are you acting stupid again? Get out of the way!”

“You…!” A flash of menace crossed Stanley’s eyes as he turned to glare at Karla, about to retort.

But Karla shut him down with a single sharp look. “You what?”

Stanley was unable to retort. He didn’t expect Karla to be so fierce.

In the end, he backed down and moved aside.

Seeing him give in, Karla turned to Noelle and sighed. “Noelle, did you see that? This guy acts like a lunatic sometimes. Don’t take him too seriously, okay?”

Noelle didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, but she still felt angry. She pouted and complained to Karla, “But he wanted to snatch my necklace just now!”

She waved at the two young men standing nearby, both of whom were handsome and full of youthful energy. “What are you two standing there for? Come over here and meet her.”

The two boys weren’t much older than Noelle, just a few years at most.

They walked over slowly and stared at Noelle curiously.
