Chapter 1481 Are They Mine Too 

To Caliste, Queenie had always been a strong, independent woman who had never before encountered such indifference. 

She followed Queenie inside, her eyes filled with sympathy. 

Someone arrived outside the door, prompting Cecilia and the others to rise, ready to prepare their breakfast. 

Before long, the sound of children’s playful chatter could be heard from outside. 

Lucas and Gabriel were both particularly chatty. The two children were quite lively. 

“Ceci!” Elena called out as she walked into the living room, addressing Cecilia who was bustling about in the kitchen with Charlotte. 

Cecilia turned around to look at the elegantly dressed lady, then shifted her gaze to the two little children by her side. 

Immediately, Vivian alerted her. “This is Nathaniel’s mother, your mother–in–law.” 

It was no surprise that Cecilia found her somewhat familiar. When she was young, she had visited 

Rainsworth Manor and had encountered Elena a few times. 

She flashed a smile at Elena, too shy to call her. 

Elena didn’t notice her unusual behavior and instructed the nanny to bring the two children forward. “Come on, Lucas, Gabriel. Call her ‘Mommy.”

Lucas and Gabriel, with their large eyes, were intently observing Cecilia. Perhaps due to their blood ties, they were quite fond of Cecilia. 

One of them had clung tightly onto Cecilia’s legs. 

Startled, Cecilia was about to dodge out of the way. However, fearing the child might fall, she had no choice but to let them cling to her. 

“Are they also my sons?” Cecilia felt as if the world had completely changed. 

Upon hearing her words, Elena couldn’t help but wonder. “Ceci, what nonsense are you talking about? They are obviously your children, born through your sweat and tears. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten?”

How could a mother possibly forget the child she gave birth to? 

Cecilia didn’t know how to explain things to Elena. 

At that moment, Queenie entered. The moment she saw Cecilia, her eyes welled up with tears. 

“Ceci…” 

Unlike Elena, the affection Queenie held in her eyes when she looked at Cecilia was akin to that of a 

mother toward her child.

Nathaniel had just emerged from his study when he saw that his mother–in–law and his own mother had arrived. He immediately descended the stairs. 

“Mom, Mdm. Queenie, could you please join me in my study? Ceci has encountered a minor health issue. I’ll explain the details to you.” 

“Alright.” Elena nodded. 

Queenie had worry etched in her eyes. Was there something wrong with her health? What could possibly be the issue?
