Yvan hadn't left Josephine because she had done something wrong. And it wasn't because he had stopped loving her.

He left because her career was taking off. Her future had never been clearer.

He, on the other hand, was lost. He was riddled with doubt and insecurity.

He no longer knew how to stand beside her.

All he did was smoke, drink, and sing with his reckless friends. Meanwhile, Josephine embraced a disciplined life. She did yoga, read books, shot films, and basked in the sunlight at home.

Every time he looked at her, he felt like a shadow dimming her light.

One day, he learned that she had turned down a major film offer just to celebrate his birthday and join him on tour. That was his breaking point.

He snapped.

He felt like he was dragging her down.

So, he found someone to act as his girlfriend. Eventually, Josephine was forced to leave him.

Yvan thought her life would flourish without him. But instead, she went home. And before he could even process it, she'd gotten married.

He nearly collapsed when he heard the news.

No one knew how he managed to pull through during that period. During a race, he had pressed the gas without hesitation, fully aware that a cliff lay ahead.
