Assistant Manager Walt came over and stopped beside Monique.
Monique's head remained lowered. She desperately hoped that he would turn around and leave.
"Mrs. Xander." Jacob greeted her politely.
Monique greeted him embarrassedly as she raised her head, "Good morning, Assistant Manager Walt!"
"I see that you were early to work today, Mrs. Xander. I'm on my way to the break room, is there anything you would like to drink? I can get it for you." Jacob let out a smile.
Amelia's jaw dropped as she turned her head around. 'Monique was late to work on her second day. This just shows that she has no sense of punctuality. Shouldn't Monique be let go? Or at least be given a warning or lecture?.'
Nonetheless, Assistant Manager Walt did not sound mad at all and he had a gentle facial expression.
Assistant Manager Walt never treated any of the workers that well.
Monique felt awkward as she let out a charming smile and said, "It's alright, Assistant Manager Walt. I brought my own water bottle, I'll just get myself some drinking water later."
Monique brought her own pink-colored water bottle and placed it beside her computer desktop.
Assistant Manager Walt beamed around her desk and spotted the pink water bottle, "Is it that pink bottle?"
Monique dipped her head, "Yes."
Assistant Manager Walt asked her again, "Are you getting used to the working environment?"
Monique gently smiled, "Yeah, everything is fine so far."
