After she hung up, Monique turned around and asked Amelia, "Amelia, which floor is the PR department?"

Amelia raised, eyes wide as she looked at her with surprise. "The public relations department is on the 12th floor. Why are you going there?"

Amelia was sincerely curious. 'What is Charlotte from the personnel department doing at the PR department? Is she planning to transfer Monique? I heard from Hannah earlier this morning that, yesterday, a ridiculous newcomer was assigned to PR. Could they know each other? Are they both relatives of the chairman's chauffeur?'

Amelia was really scorned at people like Monique who got their job through personal connections. The chairman was treating the chauffeur well currently, but if it was a romantic relationship, no one could say for sure whether it would last. It was a Hollywood romance; always with new partners and breaking up the next moment.

Monique burst into laughter when she saw Amelia's shocked expression. "Charlotte from the personnel department summoned me. I need to head over there to see what's going on."

"Why would Charlotte ask for you?" Amelia stroked back a few strands of her hair that were dangling on her forehead as she casually asked, but her ears strained, ready to listen to what Monique had to say.

Monique shook her head. "I've no idea. I’ll go find out."

Amelia had no choice but to faintly nod her head, "Then go already. Also, the proposal; remember to have it done by today."

Monique nodded with a smile. "Alright, noted."

Charlotte stood at the entrance of the PR department, anxiously awaiting Monique's arrival.

When Monique's slim silhouette came into view, she looked like she was looking at her savior. Charlotte went up to greet her with a wide smile. "Miss Xander, you've arrived."

"Is there anything that I can do to help?" Monique nodded, asking in a surprised tone.
