"Why?" Zuri felt uneasy, she didn’t want to be away from Khaos, but when she lifted her head to look at him, he didn’t show any expression, he seemed aloof and distant and this made her anxious.

The voices in her head screamed at her. They told her to run from there. Not to trust these people. Not to trust Rhett or Khaos.

Zuri then once again looked at Khaos and she didn’t avert her gaze until she got a response from him, only when Khaos nodded to agree with Rhett’s suggestion that Zuri finally came with her brother.

There was a slab in the middle of the garden and Rhett told her to lay down there. "I am your brother. I will not let anything happen to you, okay?"

"But, why I should lay down there?" Zuri frowned. "I feel like I am being in for a sacrifice or something."
