After Surviving the Apocalypse, I Built a City in Another World novel Chapter 1372

Chapter 1372: Before Chris’ Wedding (Part 2)

"Welcome to Ankol Chwis and Awntee Adeetee’s wedding!" Theo said to the new set of newcomers.

He was very demure and gentlemanly, and it melted people’s hearts. He stood dutifully near the gate to do his duty, not showing impatience at all.

"Wow, is this Little Theo?" the lady squealed. "So handsome!"

"Thank you, Miss, you aw awso wooking wondewful," he said, looking like an adorable little gentleman (with front baby tooth missing and all), and the nearby women’s motherly instincts were triggered so much they couldn’t help but surround the little boy.

Kyaaaaa~

Nearby, three adult men ended up on the side, watching the child. "He’s such a good boy," Ramil said, turning to Beanie. "You raised him well."

The little boy was so precocious in his age. He never gave the adults any trouble, except for maybe melting their hearts.

He was also adorably calm about losing a front tooth. Most kids would be embarrassed, right? Not him. The moment Little Pepper giggled upon sight of it, he didn’t mind showing it off anymore.

Beanie’s eyes fixed on his son, who was now hugged and admired by the ladies who were definitely having baby fever today (their husbands were very lucky).

Despite the amusing sight, Beanie felt a bit teary, instead. He shook his head in response to the in-law’s compliments.

"I didn’t do anything," he said, his voice cracking. "It was all Priya."

Speaking of this, how they found out about the relationship was a lucky coincidence.

Theo was being adorable as always, playing in a random park. It so happened that Raj was taking a woman out on a date at the time.

Her name was Sora, who had moved to Alterra from Belluga Village a couple of months ago. They met when Aditi forced him to join her in one of Fable’s concerts (Chris, at the time, was on a long-term mission), and Sora was one of the groupies there.

She also became Aditi’s fast friends, and somehow they ended up being pushed to go on a few dates, though Raj had to admit he enjoyed them.

Anyway, outside the concerts, Sora was (amusingly) a nice and demure lady who wanted simple things, so they were just walking in the park with their skewered snacks.

The prospective couple sat down on one of the bigger benches there as they finished their food, leisurely taking their time, not noticing there was another person sitting on the same bench.

"Such adorable children," the woman said, giving Raj a look. "I think it’s so great that we can see them living carefree and living as kids," she said. "Alterra is really the perfect place to raise children."

Raj’s eyebrows rose as he looked at her. "Hmn, it is," he said.

"How are you with kids?"

"I’d say I’m pretty good," he said. "My mother taught us some of the basics, as well as how difficult it is to raise a child alone as a mother.

"I’d like to believe that whoever ends up marrying me will have a relatively easier life as a mother."

"That sounds very attractive."

"Because it is."

The two tried to hold back their smiles.

At some point, the kids passed by near them, and Raj caught a closer look at Theo.

"He really looked a lot like cousin Priya when she was a toddler," Raj said, feeling a bit melancholic. He turned to Sora to tell the story. "She’s a bit younger and was very close to Aditi. I do often wonder where she is now..."

Before Sora could reply, a voice beside them sounded. "You know Priya?"
