Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground novel Chapter 1047

The silence that ensued could not be described in words.

Everywhere was utterly still, as though a hush had blanketed the world. Even the aftermath of Xal’zereth’s detonation had been brought to a stop.

The paragons’ movements had frozen. Many of their gazes were wide open, as though their minds struggled to grasp the gravity of what they had just heard.

It was absurd. It was so absurd. They were paragons. Not just paragons, but beings who had risen in both power and authority high enough to lead their respective races.

The lead rulers of the Alliance. Their every word. Their every order was law in Eldoralth.

They could condemn entire cities. They could erase civilizations from the face of this earth. They weren’t kings. They were the emperors and empresses of Eldoralth. freewёbnoνel.com

It was so absurd on many levels that it should only be taken as a joke. And yet, not a single one of them was smiling.

The sheer power radiating from the one who had spoken those words crushed any illusion that it was a joke.

It didn’t leave room for doubt. It didn’t even allow denial. His presence alone made it clear, those words were not a threat. They were a sentence already being carried out.

Then, a voice shattered the silence.

Azrakan’s voice could only be described in one word: outrage, the kind that reeked of nothing but fury.

"How dare you spout such madness!" he thundered, his eyes seething. "The Dimensari will not tolerate this insult!"

An intense cold surged through the air as his killing intent erupted, like a blizzard that was born to freeze all life.

Then came the bloodlust. But it didn’t come from Azrakan. Jezeneth, who looked as though she had been waiting for this moment all her life, let out a derisive spit.

"I warned you fools," she hissed. "We should have killed him back then when he dared raise his voice against a superior race."

Her gaze was filled with nothing but hatred as she locked onto Atticus.

And she wasn’t alone. One by one, the other paragons had locked onto Atticus, some in disbelief, others in silent anger. But there was none more intense than Valkarion Ignisyth.

The Dragon Paragon’s eyes flared at the mention of Drakthanion being sentenced to death. Flames licked around his form, and the temperature around him surged, turning searing, scorching, threatening to ignite the very air.

But just before another word could be spoken, a voice rang out, interrupting the scene.

"I can attest to everything General Atticus Ravenstein said."

Heads turned instantly.

And then they saw Zenon floating up into the sky. His form was battered, and blood still clung to his tattered uniform, but his eyes were steady.

Jenara, the Evolari Paragon, turned sharply, her expression turning relieved as she saw Zenon was still alive.

He was amongst the strongest of the Evolari race, it would be a humongous loss to the Evolari race should he have died.

"Elder Zenon… it’s good you’re still alive—"

But before she could finish, Oren, the Regenerari Paragon, cut her off with a curt tone.

"Now’s not the time for pleasantries, Jenara." He turned to Zenon. "What do you mean?"

All eyes fixed on Zenon. But he remained calm and spoke.
