Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground novel Chapter 1091

Chapter 1091 Core

Atticus's expression, which had been calm and expressionless, shifted, and he instinctively moved back a few feet away from the Aegis Shield.

Atticus knew that no one in Eldoralth should be able to pass through this shield or affect it in any way, but he was both shocked and wary.

'It would explain why he's so casual about everything, but...'

Someone from a higher plane? Atticus didn't know what to expect, and that alone made him raise his entire guard.

In his mind, Ozeroth was already flaring.

'I knew it! Something about the bastard was off. I told you, bond! But you didn't want to listen. It's not too late, we can still take down this shield and teach him a lesson!'

Whisker, who had been observing, noticed all of Atticus's reactions the instant they happened. He stopped speaking, a smile spreading across his face.

"Relax, my star actor. If I wanted to bite, I would've. Long ago, in fact."

Though he said this with ease, Atticus didn't move an inch. His eyes stayed fixed on Whisker, sharp and on guard.

He was from a higher plane... which meant he knew and could do things Atticus wouldn't have ever imagined possible.

And with his unpredictable nature on top of that, he was nothing but dangerous. "Those are just words," Atticus said without a change of expression.

Whisker chuckled. "Come on, man. Not only are you inside a shield I can't pass through, but I'm literally wearing pink pajamas. How much safer can I possibly look?"

"It's not about looks," Atticus replied. "You've been lying this whole time, which means you have a goal. And telling me all this now only points to one thing, you're trying to further your agenda."

Whisker smirked. "Alright, alright, I won't deny that. I am trying to further my agenda." Atticus's gaze narrowed slightly, but before he could respond, Whisker added,

"But it doesn't change the fact that you still need this information."

Atticus paused, gaze sharpening. He couldn't deny that. The fact that he had no clue what was going on was not just dangerous, it was starting to get to him. It was like new things kept popping up every time.

He nodded slowly, and Whisker's smile widened.

"Alright, as I was saying... my brother caused all of this. But back after the core was split into nineteen parts, it disappeared. No matter how long he, or any of us,

searched, we couldn't find it.

Until now."

Now that he'd calmed down, Atticus began to assess and dissect the information. "So your brother... he's after all the cores?"

Whisker nodded. "He's not the only one, but yes, that's right."

"And then what?" Atticus asked.

It was a simple question, but Whisker's smile widened again when he heard it.

"As expected of my star actor. Always hits the nail directly on the head."

He laughed slightly, but Atticus maintained his silence.

"You ask the right questions. I like that," Whisker said. "First, I want you to understand the true purpose of the cores. You see them as nineteen separated parts of one race, right?"

Atticus nodded.

"Well... you're not wrong," Whisker said, "but you're not completely right either."

"I told you, we were sent down here to take over as many worlds as possible. Now I'll tell you how."

Then, Whisker raised his palm. Multiple radiant blue orbs appeared on it, lined horizontally.
