Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground novel Chapter 1158

It was weird.

A chuckle? Amidst this chaos? Only a truly mad man should be capable of such actions.

Yet, as Lysara and Kaelith stared at the deranged smile on Atticus' face, one that had somehow widened even further, they couldn't help but believe it. He was truly a madman.

Suddenly, Atticus' crimson armor flared, surging down his arm like a torrent of power.

Lysara's eyes barely had time to widen before it reached his blade… and detonated.

Her scream tore out as her arm was blasted off, along with a large chunk of her chest.

Atticus' chuckles rang free, wild and unrestrained. He vanished to the side, Kaelith's blade hitting nothing but empty air. With his katana now free, he brought it down toward Kaelith with devastating force.

Kaelith's eyes widened. The same question that had plagued him since the start surged again.

'What the hell is this child?'

They had planned to wear him down, to make him overuse his Will, but now, with the display just now, with that damn laughter that refused to leave their ears, it was clear.

He wasn't fighting them.

He was toying with them.

And as Kaelith's disbelieving eyes locked onto the blade about to split him in two, one thought thundered through his mind:

'Are we going to fall here? To someone from a lower world…?'

If anyone in the midplanes ever found out that the scions of the Nature World had lost to a child from a lower realm, their name would be dragged through the mud. Their father would not take it lightly. And if that man was unhappy… heads would roll.

But none of that mattered now. None of them could see what the twins were seeing.

This wasn't a child. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

If they lost, it wasn't to a boy. It was to a monster.

The blazing blade blinked inches from cleaving Kaelith's skull. His gaze hardened, resolve forming. But…

"Brother!"

Lysara's scream ripped through the air.

A vine snapped around Kaelith's ankle, yanking him away just in time.

The katana barely missed. But the flaming crescent it unleashed didn't.

It carved a trench that stretched for kilometers, the earth torn and melted into glowing lava. Smoke hissed in curling steams as the devastation painted the battlefield.

But the twins, appearing far off in the distance, sweat clinging to their brows and dread twisting their faces, none of their attention was on the damage.

Their eyes were glued to him.

The deranged child whose laughter, somehow, still hadn't stopped.

"Brother…"

Kaelith turned, but his gaze never left the monster floating in the distance.

Lysara had truly seen better days. Her chest was charred from the inside out, her hands blackened like charcoal. Atticus' blade wasn't inside her anymore, but his Will still rampaged within her body.

Kaelith's eyes darkened.

They bickered a lot, sure. But even then, they were the only siblings who could claim to truly care for each other in their blood soaked family. The rest were all about scheming. Politics. Hatred.

The scions of the Nature World were infamous for being deranged and heartless. One of their own had even hunted down their siblings, one by one, just for a chance to become the sole heir.

But he and Lysara had always been different.

Which was why, as Kaelith saw his younger sister like this, something deep within him ached.
