Kellen wasn’t sure how long the two of them lay there, but Kellen wasn’t counting. After all that had happened, it was nice to just...feel Rhys around him.
If he was honest with himself now, he could say that he had been a little scared. He had worried about what the outcome of today could have been, but honestly, this was probably the best he was going to get. He was lucky, but he’d never been super lucky. Getting shot while wearing several layers of protection was probably the best he could ask for.
Kellen continued running his hands through Rhys’ hair, thoughtful as the man slowly stopped crying. Kellen didn’t mind, especially since he held him so tightly against him. He would admit it in a heartbeat if Rhys asked him about it. He liked feeling their skin rub together, and he wanted to be able to comfort him.
Kellen always had.
The Captain had always looked so lonely before. When they had been on the front lines together, Kellen often would see him standing alone after he had sent everyone else running around to do his bidding.
And now, he had that man wrapped around him as he found comfort in him. Kellen knew that this probably wasn’t the right time, but he felt satisfied with this outcome. What he had wanted, what he had dreamed of, had come true.
He was there for Rhys to find comfort in. Now he just needed to get his act together and do some more research about relationships. He doubted that what Hill gave him would help him anymore. Maybe now he could ask his Mom or Dad about it. Or maybe there were more books he could read.
A sniffle from Rhys, and a shift in his weight had Kellen’s thoughts turning back to the man pressed against him. Rhys raised his head slowly, his face looking awful and puffy, his yellow eyes making everything pop in contrast and Kellen smiled softly, his fingers gentle in his hair.
"How are you feeling?" He asked and Rhys sniffled.
"Like a big baby. I can’t believe I cried like this." Rhys murmured and Kellen leaned forward to press a kiss against his forehead.
"It’s okay. I didn’t mind. You can cry like this whenever you want. Tears are usually all about pent up emotions." Kellen told him with a grin. "Or, am I not allowed to tell you to rely on me to cry? Would that ruin your hardass image?" Kellen teased and Rhys sniffed.
"I think, because we are still in the car, my image is still intact." Rhys told him, his voice still a little hoarse from his tears. The damp spot on his skin was a constant reminder of what Rhys had just done, and Kellen felt such a wave of tenderness for the man he couldn’t help and pressed his lips against his for a soft, warm kiss. When Kellen pulled away, Rhys seemed a little shocked.
"Can I do that again?" Rhys asked and Kellen flushed before he nodded. Rhys leaned in, a little more forceful, but his kisses were light, feathery, and Kellen shifted under him anxiously. Kellen wasn’t a big fan of these types of kisses, but he didn’t hate them. They just didn’t feel...like they were enough.
Rhys wasn’t getting the memo today, and continued to only press their lips together briefly over and over, his lips moving from Kellen’s lips to his cheeks and forehead. He even pressed a kiss against Kellen’s eyes, of course, when they were closed, before his lips dropped to Kellen’s throat. Out of his line of sight, Kellen bent his head back to give him more access, staring up at the ceiling of the car.
He might have been wondering when this was going to be over, slightly impatient until Rhys sunk his teeth into his throat, pulling a gasp from Kellen’s lips. When Kellen glanced down at Rhys, his eyes had shifted into gold, and he pulled up with a smirk. His gaze dropped, roaming Kellen’s body and Kellen flushed as his hand left from behind his back to trace over the tent he was pitching in his pants.
"You’re hard. Do you want help with that?" Rhys asked and Kellen flushed. Kellen’s fingers would have still been in Rhys’ hair had he not pulled far enough away so that he could look at him. Kellen used the back of his hand to cover his mouth.
"I was-we were doing just fine until you bit me!" Kellen protested and Rhys pouted, his lips dipping down and with his already swollen and red eyes it stabbed at Kellen’s heart.
"You don’t want to? I need some comfort, Kellen, and touching your cock would bring me great comfort. Can we? I promise I’ll only do what you like." He was begging. Kellen was a sucker whenever he did that, especially right now.
"I can’t bend right now." Kellen muttered and Rhys’ eyes narrowed and a smile touched his lips.
"Who said you need to bend? You stay right there, and I’ll do all the work. You already did so much today, I should earn my keep. After all, you found one of the D.E.C. members I was supposed to find today." Kellen heard Rhys’ belt unbuckle and where he had been ignoring his feelings before, he felt everything come rushing in at full force.
Kellen swallowed thickly, his full attention on Rhys’ fingers undoing his belt and pulling out his cock. Fuck. He’d never been like this before. He had never really...yearned for another like this before. He’d wanted the Captain, he’d always had, but it hadn’t really been...sexual before. Now? He was pretty sure it was.
Kellen let out a shaky breath as he stared at Rhys’ cock, watching it bob as it saw the light of the car. A small bit of common sense snuck into his head as he licked his lips. freewebnσvel.cѳm
"W-What if someone comes into the garage?" Kellen asked and Rhys chuckled. He bent, his lips on Kellen’s throat as he worked on Kellen’s pants. His fingers were dexterous, dangerous, and Kellen wanted them on his skin right now.
"No one would dare come close to us right now. Everyone who would dare, knows better. Who would interrupt a pair after something so shocking happened? They’ll question us when we come back, but they aren’t going to interrupt us." Rhys told him, his lips pressed against Kellen’s skin. The vibration of his words against such fragile skin had Kellen shivering.
