Chapter 389: Boundaries are a good thing to have, but not right now (suggestive)

"Yes, they do. It’s...something that can become a lifestyle choice. Some people like it, but I think from your facial expression, it isn’t something you’re interested in." Rhys said with a smile. Kellen was still reeling from this new information.

Sure, Kellen had done a little research into this, but he hadn’t done a full deep dive like he had wanted to. He’d been busy. He felt like he had a pretty valid reason to be busy, and had to look up sex toys during business hours. Technically, taking care of Rhys was part of his business, but that was complicated.

Not many looked up toys on company time, and if they did, well, that was none of Kellen’s business.

"Okay. So what does that mean? And what even is this? I just...I know I like certain things, and so do you, but do we have to label it?" Kellen asked, hoping he didn’t sound ignorant. Rhys smiled, shaking his head.

"No sugar. We don’t need to label it. I just thought you might like it if we did. Uh, the name for the relationship is pretty easy to understand. One of us would take on a dominant role, while the other would be submissive. What those dynamics are related to are something we would decide, very similar in the way we have these kinds of conversations in our sex life as well." Kellen nodded, but he didn’t see a reason to do so.

He appreciated that Rhys was explaining this to him, but he was quite content with how their relationship was working out at the moment. He liked that with just a few words, he was able to turn the tide of Rhys and take the more dominant role in their relationship. Maybe that was what Rhys was talking about. Did they need a code word, like the safe word that Rhys had mentioned forever ago, to initiate that kind of change?

"Okay. I can see why people would want that, but I don’t really see the point with us. Not because I don’t think we have that dynamic. I know we do, but I like how it feels right now. I don’t know if I want this to extend outside of our home." Kellen said and Rhys held him closer. The feeling of his hardened cock against his thigh was still quite distracting, but he was doing his best to ignore it.

"Understood. If you just want it in the home, do you want a signal or something? Did you want me to take on a leading role at home? Like dominant? Or did you want to?" Kellen shrugged, unsure. He knew that having this conversation was important, but at the same time...

"Does it matter? Are you asking this over and over because you want that kind of thing? It’s okay if you do. I just...I’m pretty content with how things are going right now. I don’t feel rushed. I enjoyed today. I would agree that we should probably come up with a word for when one of us wants to be dominant, or submissive respectively." Kellen suggested and Rhys froze, before he closed his eyes, resting against Kellen’s bare skin. freёwebnovel.com

"Ah. I guess that does sound like I really want to force it. No, I just...if it’s something you want to explore, I want to make sure that you know I’m okay with it. Whatever it is." Kellen felt that Rhys wasn’t being fully honest, but he didn’t push it. Because at the same time, he sounded sincere with his words. Rhys might want a specific dynamic to their relationship, but he himself hadn’t noticed.

Kellen felt a little smug thinking that he had realised it before him, but he wasn’t going to rush him. It was cute, actually.

"Rhys." Kellen said, wrapping his hand around the back of Rhys’ neck. Rhys jerked.

"Yes, sugar?" He replied, his voice quiet.

"Is this about the collar conversation earlier? Are you really wanting one?" Kellen asked quietly, watching Rhys’ reaction like a hawk. Rhys pulled his head back, his yellow gaze turning to Kellen’s face as well. His expression was a little open, a little vulnerable.

"I...well, it doesn’t have to be a collar. I just...I like the idea of something that shows everyone that you belong to me. Or that I belong to you. I just...want that comfort." He muttered quietly and Kellen felt himself swoon.

This big, powerful Esper, who admitted that others had made assumptions about him based on the fact that he was an S Class, and who just wanted to make sure that Kellen liked what they were doing, was happy with their relationship, everything, was being shy and cute now. Kellen’s lips twitched, before he pulled Rhys closer, kissing him.
