Chapter 390: A building sense of unease

The next day Kellen was regretting his behaviour. Only slightly.

Rhys had been a lot more aggressive than he had been in the past. He had been holding back, as he should be since he was quite a bit stronger then Kellen, but he’d let the grip he had on himself slip a bit.

Kellen wasn’t complaining about that aspect at all. He had enjoyed every last slap against his ass, every last tease. He was pretty sure he’d been crying at a few points because the experience had been too good. With that being said, he was bitter about the fact that Rhys had been right.

Rhys had warned him that he was probably going to regret poking the beast, and Kellen did. Because his students had wanted to sit down and have personal conversations with him during the time that he normally had their class time. Kellen couldn’t exactly have these conversations walking around the building, so he had to agonize, trying to focus on their concerns while his ass pulsed. Bruised from Rhys’ attention, and his nature of spurring the man on.

He was pretty sure he came as hard as he had when he’d shoved his cock down Rhys’ throat.

Kellen, despite his rage, had had a good day yesterday, and now he was just dealing with the consequences of his actions. freēwebnovel.com

Despite the small complaints, Kellen’s day, and week, went smoothly.

He was able to speak with Brent through the same setup that Captain Sergei used to speak to the other Captains while on the front lines. Brent did let it slip that the product he had been waiting for still hadn’t arrived, and he was getting a little concerned. Kellen was worried for him, but neither of them could do much from their current positions.

Kellen was just able to give him verbal support, while Brent also teased Kellen about the marks that were showing up on more visible parts of his body.

Rhys had really gotten into hickies. Kellen didn’t really mind, not after the claiming mark conversation, and especially as they had another conversation after Rhys had brought it up to his therapist. Rhys had been worried it was a sign he was shifting into being more controlling, like other Espers.

His therapist had brought up the idea that it might stem from his childhood and that had sent the wheels turning in a way that Rhys and Kellen hadn’t expected. That had been a hard conversation, and Kellen just sat and listened while Rhys tried to speak on it.

He had been rather casual about it all when he had been talking about Gunther, but when it came to actually dealing with it? It was a lot harder. Kellen understood, and was willing to be there for him the whole time.

Kellen was also making sure that Gunther was still checking in, and had even been at one of the Guiding Centers, Guiding Center B, when Gunther had swung by.

He was able to speak to him after he had been guided by someone, and was able to understand that things were far more complicated then they had thought. There was a lieutenant or someone of equal rank in town, and Gunther was getting closer and closer to him. But, Gunther was going to have to do some things he was going to regret.

Kellen told him it was okay for him to pull out if he wanted to.

Gunther had been surprised by Kellen’s words, and in a small way, that hurt Kellen. He knew Gunther could get in there, but he didn’t want Gunther to change himself, or hurt himself to get information. He wasn’t trained to infiltrate organisations, They had just given the group the member they were trying to steal.

Gunther could walk away whenever he wanted.

Seeing that Kellen was in full support of his choices only made Gunther more relaxed, and more passionate about getting to the lieutenant.

"They hurt your family, Kellen. And you’re Rhys’ family. I don’t want him to lose another one." Gunther had said, breaking Kellen’s heart.

"You’re our family too." Kellen told him fiercely and Gunther’s eyes had watered, before he brushed it off. Kellen made sure to give him an update on Casper, letting him know that Casper hadn’t gone out partying since, nor had he done anything rash. He seemed to just...be waiting for Gunther.
