"..." Aria thought about his offer while hugging him even closer. It was a difficult topic that ate away at her heart. "You know best." Aria erupted into merry giggling and bumped him on the nose playfully before admitting slyly, "Maybe just a little bit."

Kaiden couldn't help but laugh and be drawn to this lovely existence, so much so that he reached under Aria's chin, lifted her head, and dove in for a sensual kiss, which surprised the girl greatly, but she offered no resistance at all.

A few minutes later, once they detached their tongues, Kaiden asked another question that was on his mind. "What about your mother's boyfriend?"

"He's a pimp. He owns a brothel at which she works as the receptionist, and he is also the one who supplies her with the drugs."

Kaiden snorted, "Then he is a very bad influence on her."

"Yes, but I can't do anything about it. I begged my mother before to break up with him and visit a detox center, but she firmly refused me."

He could only sigh with a heavy heart. It seemed he would have to pay a visit to his future mother-in-law sometime and see if she was truly beyond help or not. For now, he could only hold his girl closer as they drifted off to sleep in each other's warm embrace.
