Neo appeared in a dark cavern.
He had teleported to the location where the presence of life was the strongest.
There was a giant black bone in front of him with purple cracks running through it. The part in front of him was small, and he realized it was part of a much larger spinal cord.
"I know you are alive. Stop trying to hide," Neo said.
There was no response.
"True name Yaleth, Void God, Rank Stage 3, Origin World Vur'mekar."
The presence in the cavern flinched.
There was silence for a moment before a deep rumble echoed.
"Who dares to disturb my slumber!? Is Death what you–"
"Your current strength is Empyrean rank. Both of us know you can't do shit to me, and that's why you were hiding just now."
Silence again.
"…What do you want, human?"
"I want to know about the Spirits that were extracted from you."
"The true soul spirits?"
"Yes."
Yaleth sighed. It would've attacked Neo if it had its original strength. Hell, if it could move at least, it would've fought even if that resulted in death.
But…
"I have one condition."
"I'm all ears."
Yaleth would rather die than reveal anything about the true soul weapons, but this moment was unique.
The man in front of Yaleth was impossibly strong.
If Yaleth could manipulate him, there was a chance Yaleth could kill the one who had killed it.
"I want you to deliver something to someone."
"What and to whom?"
"Go to my home planet. My research is there. I want you to deliver it to my friend, Kevin Wallington."
Yaleth's tone when it revealed Kevin's name was proud.
It made Neo wonder if Kevin was supposed to be some sort of bigshot.
"Is he Kevin someone I am supposed to know?"
"…You don't know Kevin?"
"No?"
"He is an apostle!"
"Apostle?"
"Yes, an Apostle! The Apostle!"
"What's an Apostle?"
"An Apostle is an Apostle. What sort of weird question is that?"
Neo quickly realized that asking about Apostle was going to be a headache. He decided to change the topic.
"So I deliver it to this Kevin guy, and you will tell me about true soul spirits?" Neo questioned. "Not going to lie. That sounds needlessly burdensome. I'll just devour you and take your memories."
"My memories? Take them." Yaleth scoffed. "Did you think I wasn't prepared for something like this? My mind has no memories of true soul weapons. Half of it is in my home planet – my research – and the other half of it is with Kevin.
"Even if you devour me, you will gain nothing."
"Fine," Neo said. "Where is your planet, and why do you want to deliver to Kevin."
"It's payment. I will give him the research, and he will take my revenge. He will kill the one who killed me!"
"Wait a second, correct me if I'm wrong, you are the Outer God who invaded Luminera several hundred years ago, no?"
"I am."
"And the one who killed you is…."
"The One Above All." Yaleth spoke with its voice dripping with venom. "Finally, that guy's irritating smirk will be wiped off."
"Yaleth," Neo called out, but Yaleth ignored his words.
Recalling its murderer seemed to have ticked off Yaleth as it kept talking.
"He faced my entire army alone with a smirk and insulted us. So what if he is strong? Even he will be crushed by Kevin!"
"Yaleth."
"Wait for it, One Above All! You will finally understand there is a heaven above heavens! You will regret–"
"He is my brother."
