Chapter 126: Fall of the Demon Lord
The sword fell.
You would think that for something so massive, it would fall slowly—but no. The moment Noah stopped speaking, the sword was already upon Belzebuth.
BOOOMMM—!!!
The strike landed. Instantly, the chamber’s temperature plummeted further, transforming the space into a frozen wasteland.
Noah then appeared beside Zara, who was struggling to stay on her feet. Belzebuth’s kick had been brutal, almost making her vomit her insides out.
"Are you okay?" Noah asked, placing a steadying hand on her shoulder.
He activated his power—over Samsara, over life and death. In seconds, Zara’s injuries faded rapidly, her body now fully healed.
Huff—
She let out a breath of relief. "Yes. I’m fine now."
"Good. Now..." Noah turned his gaze back toward Belzebuth. "Let’s fight properly."
The Demon Lord stood tall, a frozen wound etched into his palm—the very hand he’d used to block the sword. Frost clung to his skin, creeping along his limbs.
Belzebuth scowled, inspecting the wound.
He frowned,
I can’t remove the ice... he realized. Not without time and deep focus. But with these two—
His eyes darted to Noah and Zara.
I have no time and no opportunity to do that.
Truly Incredible. That boy had already reached S-rank, and the girl—his own daughter—her control over emotion was terrifying.
’Truly monsters.’
Belzebuth silently thought.
"Are you done contemplating, Demon Lord Belzebuth?" Noah’s voice cut through his thoughts.
Belzebuth smirked,
"Well you know, It’s not quite fair, you’re—"
He stopped mid-sentence, arms crossing instinctively.
BOOOOMMM—!
"You talk too much, Belzebuth. Let’s end this fight. I am in a hurry."
Noah’s punch collided with Belzebuth’s guard.
"And you’re cocky for someone weaker than me."
"Really?"
Frost spread rapidly up Belzebuth’s arms. Belzebuth immediately jumped back to create distance, Noah’s ice was no ordinary ice. But all that only to feel a hand touch his back.
A voice followed:
"Fear."
"Oh fuck!"
BAM—!
Belzebuth dropped to his knees. His eyes widened in horror.
That’s when he saw it.
An illusion.
A beast—no, an abyssal monster of unimaginable height. Its gaping maw was a void, a dark eternity that devoured all. The monster opened his maw wide as if ready to shallow the entire universe inside him.
And in that moment of primal dread, as he looked at this monster, he whispered a name no one would believe possible from him.
"F-Father...?" He said shakily.
Reality snapped back.
In front of him stood Noah and Zara. Noah smirked.
"Scared of your father, huh?"
A beat of silence.
Belzebuth’s eyes turned crimson, fury surging.
"You... You... YOU DARE!!"
BOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!
A shockwaves erupted from his roar of anger.
A tidal wave of dark smoke then erupted from him.
Noah and Zara shot backward, retreating as the darkness spread.
They both frowned.
"His power... it’s getting stronger," Zara muttered.
Noah’s lips twitched. "Guess I pushed a little too hard, huh?"
Zara gave a tense smile. "Seems like it."
Their humor did little to soothe the anxiety building in their chests.
After all, Belzebuth was becoming stronger—
But Noah was no fool.
"I’m not some damn protagonist who waits for your transformation."
CLAP—!
Thousands of ice lotuses bloomed around the black smoke. Each petal was laced with the concept of nothingness.
Noah raised a hand, and clenched it,
"Explode."
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
A cascade of silent explosions rocked the chamber. The ice bloomed and vanished—erased by the void.
Only three areas remained untouched:
