Chapter 59: Chapter 59: A way

Chapter 59 – A way

At the same time, in a realm untouched by mortal hands, in the vast and vibrant world of Laeh.

It was a space unlike any other, painted in a kaleidoscope of swirling colors.

At its center sat a young boy, seemingly ordinary. No aura radiated from him, no divine presence announced his importance. Yet his very existence felt... absolute.

He suddenly froze, eyes lifting toward the ever-shifting sky. Confusion flashed across his innocent face.

"Did I just sense... the emergence of a new race?" he muttered. His voice sounded childish, yet carried immense power beneath its softness.

He tilted his head in thought. "Is it the work of that greedy celestial? Or that sneaky demoness?"

He shook his head almost immediately. "No, impossible. They don’t have access to my core."

His eyes narrowed.

"Then...?"

Realization struck. His gaze sharpened.

"One of my inhabitants created it?"

It made no sense. The beings of Laeh were still young—too weak to accomplish such a feat. The creation of an entirely new race should have been impossible.

He flicked his finger.

A glowing image appeared before him—Noah.

The boy’s expression didn’t change, but his voice carried a subtle note of amusement. "Talented, indeed."

"Well he is a monster even."

"I’ll keep watching."

If Noah proved himself competent...

Then the boy would act.

His eyes drifted, settling on Elijah. He sighed.

"He’s so drenched in that celestial’s influence."

He lowered his gaze, expression cold.

I give you a fragment of access... and now you want everything? All of me?

Another sigh escaped his lips.

He closed his eyes, falling into silent meditation.

...

Back in his room, Noah stood before Leona, who knelt obediently on the floor. The atmosphere was heavy with new power.

He glanced at the glowing text of the Akashic Records. Two new titles hovered before him, and curiosity tugged at his thoughts.

"Did you receive anything?" he asked, eyes still scanning.

Leona nodded. "Yes, Master. I received one title—Lesser Primogenitor. I also gained affinities for Darkness, Curse, and Corruption."

She continued, "The title allows me to transform others into my race. And if I have a child, she will inherit my bloodline—so long as it’s stronger than the father’s."

Noah nodded thoughtfully. Lesser Primogenitor. Likely because she’s the first in Laeh, but not in the entire universe.

"I see."

He paused, then asked, "Do you know why you were told to stay close to Elijah?"

Leona hesitated, then spoke clearly. "I was ordered to learn everything about him. To make him fall for me... and if given the chance, to kill him."

Her voice remained steady. "But I was never to do it openly. Only in a dungeon. A high-grade one preferably."

Noah frowned. "Why only in a dungeon?"

Leona explained, "Because the goddess’s influence is weaker there. She’s not omniscient you know that already, but she can sense extreme danger to her champion and might intervene. In dungeons—spaces separate from the world—her awareness falters."

"That’s why I only pretended to be the devoted lover. I couldn’t afford to go further. But in a dungeon... that’s where the opportunity lies."

BADUM—!

Noah’s heart skipped a beat.

A way.

He had just discovered a path to kill Elijah—without the goddess interfering.

A wide, genuine smile broke across his face.

"Incredible, Leona. You’ve just given me the perfect idea."

He paused, amused. "I’m almost tempted to reward you again for this."

Leona’s eyes sparkled with hope. "Really, Master?"

After tasting the miracle of fusion, she is more eager than ever.

Noah chuckled but shook his head. "It might not seem like it, but transforming you drained a massive amount of mana. I’m completely spent right now."

"But don’t worry," he added. "Keep working hard, and I’ll always reward your loyalty."
