Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 237

Seline stomped her foot hard in frustration but had no choice but to do as Jenson said.

She glanced down the hallway to make sure no one was around before finally letting out a breath and smoothing down her blouse.

...

Over in the design department, Suzanne was at her desk, focused on her work. The sharp click of high heels echoed through the room, followed by the overpowering scent of expensive perfume.

Suzanne frowned as Seline's voice cut through the air. She said, "Your design draft needs some revisions. Mr. Young is waiting for you in the coffee shop downstairs. Go meet him in the private room."

Suzanne looked up, meeting Seline's haughty gaze. She could tell Seline was seething, but she didn't care. "I'm not going," Suzanne replied flatly.

Seline choked back her anger. "You—"

Already upset about Jenson wanting to see Suzanne, Seline was now even more furious at having to convince her to go. She forced herself to stay calm, aware of the employees glancing their way.

"I'll go with you," Seline said, softening her tone. "He won't try anything."

Suzanne paused, raising an eyebrow. So, Seline knew exactly what kind of Khalil was. How ironic.

Suzanne's silence made Seline uneasy. "What are you staring at? Let's go," Seline snapped, crossing her arms and leaning against a nearby desk.

Suzanne could tell Seline was up to something, but curiosity got the better of her. What was she planning this time?

"Fine," Suzanne said, standing up.
