Macey went over to Suzanne, beaming at her. She asked, "Wow, Ms. Yates. Who's the Prince Charming?"
Her eyes twinkled with envy. She had never received such a huge bouquet of roses before.
Suzanne raised her finger and poked Macey's forehead. She let out a small chuckle before saying mysteriously, "It's a secret."
She looked around the bouquet, but there was no card or note.
Right at this moment, her phone suddenly beeped with a message from Austin.
"Did you receive it?"
Suzanne smiled. What on earth was going on with Austin recently? Why was he being so flashy?
She placed the bouquet on her desk before replying to him. "Yes. It's gorgeous."
When Austin received her message, his suspended heart finally found relief. He smiled and replied, "Mhm."
Suzanne raised an eyebrow when she saw his aloof reply. Why was he playing the aloof act when he was the one who gave her the roses?
Seline was furious that Suzanne was smiling happily. She wanted to tear that bitch's face apart.
Suppressing her anger, she went up to Suzanne and said with furrowed brows, "Sue, it's working hours. You've broken the department's rules and set a precedent. What if everyone starts receiving flowers during working hours? I don't think it's appropriate. Do you?"
Seline looked at the bouquet on Suzanne's desk.
Everyone instantly understood what she was trying to do. Even Macey knew that Seline was just trying to cause trouble.
She bit her lip tightly, shooting Suzanne a worried look.
