A lump rose at the back of Timothy's throat. He was feeling even more frustrated now.

Emma, on the other hand, was oblivious to the thoughts in the adults' heads. She simply did whatever Yasmine told her to. She nodded at Yasmine and replied, "Okay, Mommy."

She climbed out of Yasmine's arms, then walked over to Timothy with the plate of fruits in her hands. "Grandpa, I've brought you some sweet-tasting fruits."

At this moment, Timothy couldn't bring himself to show his anger anymore. With Emma feeding him bite after bite, he simmered down.

Yasmine couldn't help but put her hand to her forehead and chuckle. "Look, wouldn't it be fun if they gave you a grandchild? Why must you be so conservative?"

While Emma fed Timothy cherries, Yasmine seized this opportunity to continue, "Previously, I didn't think Suzanne was good enough either. I assumed that someone with a family background like hers would only have her eyes on our family's wealth.

"But after interacting with her, I realized that she doesn't even care about our family's wealth."

She could get paid quite handsomely with every patient she saw. Even though Yasmine hadn't actually probed her about this, this was no doubt a fact.

Yasmine ate a cherry. "Do you know where Aaron and I went with her previously?"

Timothy had finally eaten all the cherries he was chewing. Holding Emma back from feeding him more, he asked, "Where?"

He was finally calmer now.

As expected, Emma was the best at helping Timothy with simmering down.

Yasmine answered in a clear voice, "We went to the Zander residence."

Timothy fell silent immediately.

The Zanders were a reputable family whose foundation was much stronger than the Halls'. Their families were supported in a completely different way too.

As much as the Hall family was a massive and dominant presence in Dudore, at the end of the day, they were just running a business. They couldn't be compared to the Zander family.

This wasn't sufficient for Yasmine, and she elaborated, "Mr. Fabian Zander even wanted to matchmake his grandson with Suzanne. He only gave up after learning that Suzanne and Austin were together."

Seeing that she had provided Timothy with just about enough information, Yasmine did not say anything else. Instead, she stood up.

Looking at Timothy with a slight smile on her face, she urged, "Dad, I'll leave you to play with Emma. I'll go to the kitchen for a bit."
