Micah wondered aloud, "What did I just see?"
Despite typically being a calm man, he was now at a loss for what to do because of that shocking moment.
He knew Austin relatively well. Naturally, he was aware of Austin's unfriendliness toward others. So, he couldn't get used to seeing Austin expressing his adoration toward someone else so openly.
That being said, he came to an acceptance right after. After all, the woman Austin was with was the miracle doctor, Jane! There had to be many who had set their eyes on her.
But Austin was the only one who could declare his interest in her in such a straightforward manner.
Michael curled the corners of his lips into a smile. He wouldn't have expected less of Austin.
A neutral look returned to his eyes as he looked toward Suzanne and nodded respectfully. "Dr. Smith, feel free to let them know if there's anything you need. I'll have a chat with Mr. Hall for now."
Nodding slightly, Suzanne responded, "Sure."
Then, Micah turned around and followed Austin.
As Suzanne watched Austin walk away, she brushed her fingers across the spot on her forehead where he had planted that kiss. He was truly so…
Chuckling slightly, she lifted her dress slightly as she walked toward the living room.
Quite a number of guests were in the living room, interacting and chatting with one another or clinking glasses. The presentable smiles on everyone's faces were like masks on their faces. It felt like everyone was putting on a façade.
This was the reason why Suzanne never liked events like this.
Her appearance drew the attention of many. Her lovely eyes, air of gracefulness, and every move gave off a bearing of nobility.
As the reality show she previously went on was extremely popular, many people had watched it. As such, they knew what she looked like.
Subconsciously, gleams of admiration came across the people's eyes. They spoke among themselves in low voices.
"Oh my, that's Dr. Smith, right? She's stunning."
"I can only say that she looks much better in real life. The cameras didn't even capture a tenth of her actual beauty."
"I don't even dare to stand by her side. I can't compare to her at all."
As they spoke, they shared words of praise about her.
Meanwhile, a man stood a short distance away with a wine glass in his hand, watching the scene in the living room. He was wearing a black tailcoat suit. His jaw was well-defined but not overly sharp, and the slight smile on his face added to his friendly appearance.
