"Lord Wang Wei," Ma Wen bowed before glancing at Wu Hong. He recognized her as his training involved influential people at the top of the world — people he could not antagonize. So, he immediately bowed: "Empress Wu."

"It seems like my efforts were not wasted," Wang Wei nodded. He sacrificed one of his precious tokens to ensure the deal with Ma Liqiu.

"I am forever grateful for your care," Ma Wen said with a deep bow. He knew he would not become a Boundless Paragon at such record speed if not for this man’s help. In fact, he would not even have become an Emperor in the first place if not for the Dao Opening Sect’s favor.
