Life After Prison by Silencieux novel Chapter 3064

At the same time, Severin did not forget to seize some of the more valuable items. As he scanned the tumultuous scene around him, he observed battle auras flickering across the sky above the border sea. Wilbur of the Clear Wind Sect clashed with a charming, feminine adversary, while Amin from the Heaven Palace, grappled with an old man boasting the prowess of a quasi-royal celestial. The latter opponent employed some very strange divine techniques, making him a formidable enemy to contend with.

Surveying the field, Severin singled out his next target. He walked atop some purple mist, tore through the void, and materialized before an extraterrestrial quasi-royal celestial.

The opponent bore tattoos all over his face, while two black-and-yellow serpents slinked around his neck. Garbed in an unusual hide-based clothing, the person exuded an aura of darkness that would have led Severin to mistake him for a devil practitioner were it not for his incredibly bizarre appearance.

Segerne glanced at Severin impassively after finding his path blocked. He asked expressionlessly, "A quasi-royal celestial? I'll be glad to oblige your death wish, as I'm sure you must have had one when you showed up here." Segerne's comment was sardonic as he did not take Severin seriously at all. As a third-ranked prodigy in the Chaos Prodigy Board, his was among the strongest of the extraterrestrial forces.

Though Segerne had no knowledge about the origins of that unfamiliar quasi-royal celestial, he aimed to raise his status in the ranking list by killing Severin. Just as the Celestial Realm had borders, cities, and rewarded those who amassed military feats by vanquishing adversaries, so did the extraterrestrials in the Devil Realm. Given their superior strength and the fact that they boasted three more royal celestials than the Celestial Realm, they were more liberal with distributing treasures among their ranks.

Moreover, the recent slaying of the extraterrestrial quasi-royal celestial Busriv by the old wacko at the border sea had incensed several royal celestials. The unfolding conflict was a result of that decision. Segerne knew that he might receive tutelage from a royal celestial should be he able to complete his task well. With that resolve, Segerne decided to strike first. With a swift motion, he summoned one of the snakes from around his neck and sent it flying into the air. The soaring wings stirred a chaotic wind, causing the collapse of the surrounding void and stirring the void.
