Ethan immediately wanted to call someone to bring Selina over.
Earlier today, Logan had come here to investigate something, but to his surprise, the Reid Family scumbags had tampered with things, and he accidentally fell victim to their drug.
The bar was swarming with members of the Reid Family, and Logan couldn’t afford to let them sense anything was wrong.
He had to eliminate them as quickly as possible before leaving.
Until then, as the drug’s effects kicked in, he had no choice but to endure.
But now, it was different—Selina was here. She could help Logan relieve the symptoms!
Sweat soaked the strands of hair at Logan’s temple, and his vision was hazy. Hearing her familiar name, his Adam’s apple bobbed as he said hoarsely, "No."
Ethan clicked his tongue. "Why not? She’s your wife. Isn’t it her duty to help you?"
Logan’s breathing grew heavier. "Sit down."
"Oh... fine. But then you’ll just have to endure it."
Ethan reluctantly agreed, but the next moment, his expression turned serious.
"Logan, you might not even have a choice."
Ethan cursed, "Guess who I just saw? James and Natalia are here, and they’re forcing Miss Clark to drink with them!"
Logan’s breath hitched, and he abruptly stood up.
Ethan hurriedly followed. "What are you doing?"
Forcing himself to suppress the drug’s effects, Logan rasped, "Of course—protecting my wife."
Meanwhile, Natalia held a wine glass, forcing a smile, though irritation boiled inside her.
Ever since they offended Noah, they’d lost their last remaining resources, and her father had to bring her out to curry favor with these businessmen.
Looking at the ugly, old benefactor before her, Natalia felt like vomiting.
Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted someone familiar.
Natalia quickly lowered her head. "Dad, I think I just saw my sister."
Following her gaze, James’s eyes immediately lit up.
Natalia complained, "Dad, Ryan just asked where I am, and I didn’t even dare tell him I’m at a bar."
James made a snap decision. "Let Selina take your place. You go find Ryan."
Then, with a sycophantic grin, he turned to the businessmen. "Mr. Wilson, my eldest daughter is here too. I’ll have her come over to serve you."
Mr. Wilson, already eyeing the beauty sitting in the corner, nearly drooled. "Perfect, Mr. Clark, we’ll wait for her."
Selina had been sitting in her seat for a while, waiting for the bar owner, when an unpleasant voice interrupted her.
Natalia approached delicately, her demeanor frail and pitiful. "Sister."
Selina narrowed her eyes, her gaze cold and indifferent as though she hadn’t heard.
James, furious at her attitude, felt his blood boil. This daughter of his was just like her mother—always acting high and mighty!
Putting on a paternal front, he habitually began to scold her. "What are you doing at a bar? Can’t you learn something proper for once?"
Selina sneered. "What are you and Natalia doing here? Father and daughter out soliciting together?"
"Watch your mouth! Who gave you permission to speak like that?" James barked before cutting straight to the point. Impatiently, he ordered, "Come here and drink with Mr. Wilson and his friends."
Selina responded nonchalantly, "Isn’t Natalia right here?"
James exploded with anger. "Natalia is a pure, innocent young lady. How could she be the same as you?! Get over here!"
Selina’s icy gaze swept over the crowd. Suddenly, she smiled and asked slowly, "You want me to drink?" fгeewebnovёl.com
