Married First, Loved Later : A Flash Marriage with My Ex's 'Uncle' novel Chapter 47

Chapter 47: Unmasking the Hypocritical Woman

Alice let out an incredulous laugh. "So, she’s not allowed to go to her own bar? If she does, it’s automatically assumed she’s sleeping with old men? Principal Taylor, if I may say so, the mindset of some of your students is absolutely filthy!"

The students who had been angrily accusing Selina just moments ago suddenly panicked.

"We didn’t mean it that way!"

"Yeah, it was Emma making things up. She spread rumors without knowing the truth."

"We were all misled!"

Emma froze, panic setting in. "No, no, Natalia told me! Natalia, say something for me, please!" freewebnσvel.cѳm

Natalia wanted to strangle this fool.

Selina raised an eyebrow. "Oh... So it was my dear sister who told Emma I went to the bar last night to drink and sleep with men? Then why were you so fake just now, apologizing on my behalf? Could it be that Miss Drake is right—you were trying to ruin my reputation on purpose?"

Alice chuckled. "Natalia, you keep accusing Selina of being improper for going to the bar, but weren’t you there last night too? How ’proper’ were you?"

With a sharp snap, a few photos scattered to the ground near the students’ feet.

The crowd glanced down and gasped in shock.

Natalia’s face was bright red in the photos, smiling and leaning into the arms of several older men.

The tide of public opinion flipped instantly.

"Wow, so the one actually entertaining those old men was Natalia?"

"Selina’s photos only showed a blurry figure from behind, but Natalia’s are clear as day. She looks like she’s really enjoying herself."

Natalia’s mind blanked for a moment before rage consumed her.

That bitch! Selina actually kept those photos. One day, she’d make Selina pay for this!

Selina arched an eyebrow. "Sister, the City A University campus forum requires a student ID to log in. Last night, only the two of us from City A University were at the bar. Care to explain who took those pictures and uploaded them to the forum?"

"And Emma said it was *you* who told her about my so-called improper private life. You claim we’re family, so why are you so determined to spread rumors about me?"

Natalia was thrown into a panic. She bit her lip hard, tears streaming down her face in a show of helplessness.

"Sister, you’ve misunderstood me. I didn’t take or post those photos! If you don’t believe me, feel free to trace the IP address."

She felt safe—after all, she had paid an underclassman to use their student ID to upload the photos.

Natalia’s voice trembled with an air of injustice. "I only heard about it from Emma and told her not to make random assumptions about you. I never said your private life was messy. I only meant to show concern."

"You know, Sister, you’ve always been in a special situation—growing up in the countryside and all. You don’t understand social norms, you don’t have good relationships with your former classmates, and you don’t have any friends. I was worried you’d be mistreated, so I specifically asked Emma to look after you."

"But she must have misunderstood me... Sister, this is all my fault. I apologize to you."

The crowd was momentarily silenced, unsure of what to say.

After all, Natalia wasn’t wrong—Selina had grown up in the countryside. As her younger sister, it was reasonable for Natalia to be concerned about her and ask someone to help. This all seemed to be Emma’s fault for spreading baseless rumors—what did it have to do with Natalia?

Natalia breathed a sigh of relief and shot Selina a smug look.

This fool. Did she really think it would be so easy to take her down? Dream on.

But then Selina suddenly laughed.

"Oh, so you were worried that I, a girl from the countryside, couldn’t fit into university life? But, Sister, you of all people should know *why* I ended up living in the countryside, shouldn’t you?"

Natalia’s expression shifted dramatically, and she instinctively tried to stop Selina—

But it was already too late.
