Natalia, pretending to be unconscious, suddenly felt her throat being gripped. Instinctively, she reached up to push Emma away.
Emma, however, refused to let go, pinning Natalia’s hands down as if venting all her fury.
"This is all your fault! You told me Selina bullied you every day! You said she stole your fiancé! That’s why I wanted to help you get revenge. But it turns out you were lying to me the whole time—you’re the shameless mistress here!"
"Your mother was a mistress, and so are you! Mistresses are disgusting! Framing Selina wasn’t enough for you; now you’ve dragged me down with you!"
Natalia choked, coughing uncontrollably as tears streamed down her face. "Let go! Emma, let go of me!" freewebnσvel.cøm
Emma, now hysterical, screamed, "I’ll make you pay for tricking me! You’re the one who deserves to be expelled!"
She grabbed Natalia’s head and slapped her repeatedly, leaving her face swollen within moments.
The other students stood frozen, wide-eyed as the two "goddesses" descended into a full-blown fight.
Was this... some kind of chaotic dogfight?
Selina chuckled softly. "Miss Miller’s words just now were so miraculous—she managed to wake up my fainting sister. A medical breakthrough! I think next time Natalia faints, she should skip the doctor and just call Miss Miller instead."
The crowd quickly caught on—Natalia had been faking her fainting.
The principal hurriedly ordered the staff to separate them. "Both Emma and Natalia will be dealt with according to school regulations. Notify your parents to come in! The rest of you, return to your classes immediately."
Wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, he turned and cautiously asked, "Mr. Reid, are you satisfied with this resolution?"
Logan finally spared him a glance, his expression calm. "Whether I’m satisfied doesn’t matter. What matters is whether Selina is satisfied."
The principal broke out in another cold sweat and quickly turned to Selina. "M-Miss Selina, what do you think?"
Selina responded firmly, her tone composed. "For slander and defamation, the school regulations should be followed as written. There’s no need to consult me. However, Emma’s behavior isn’t an isolated incident. City A University may be a prestigious school, but campus bullying exists here as well. I hope the principal investigates this thoroughly and ensures no more students lose faith in the school."
Principal Taylor didn’t dare disagree. "Mr. Reid, Miss Selina, rest assured, I’ll handle this properly!"
Logan nodded slightly. "Come here."
The principal was momentarily confused about whom Logan was calling. Then he saw Selina blush, hesitating before shuffling over in small, shy steps.
Logan looked at the principal indifferently. "Selina is in her final year. She doesn’t have much time left on campus, and I want her to finish university happily. What happened today must never happen again."
Selina’s eyes grew warm. While others thought her clearing her name was enough to move on, Logan was the only one who cared about her happiness.
Principal Taylor was shocked. A thought struck him like lightning:
Was Mr. Reid here today... for Selina?
A sense of dread crept over him. What was the relationship between Mr. Reid and Selina?
Logan’s calm voice broke the silence. "How many classes do you have left today?"
Selina’s face flushed even more, memories of the previous night flashing through her mind. She answered obediently, "...Four."
"I have some business to attend to at City A University. I’ll wait for you to finish your classes."
Logan added, "I drove myself today. After class, I’ll take you home."
Selina stiffened. Remembering that car, the images from last night surged back into her mind. She quickly covered her face. "...Got it."
Not far away, Principal Taylor observed the interaction and suddenly understood everything.
He had nearly asked the most foolish question earlier: what was Mr. Reid’s relationship with Selina?
Wasn’t it obvious?
The principal leaned toward Selina and remarked meaningfully, "Selina, I never imagined you had this kind of connection with Mr. Reid. You’ve hidden it well."
Logan stopped in his tracks.
