"That’s Penny—our big boss. And you heard her. If you think you can handle her, you can start tomorrow. That wraps up your final interview. You’re hired. Now it’s up to you whether you show up tomorrow or not."
Shawn, Teddy, and Hayley felt like they had just been doused with a bucket of ice-cold water. For a moment, all they could do was stare at Yugi blankly.
That woman was their boss?
And Yugi hadn’t just said "their boss" — he had said "our" boss. Meaning, that Penny was also his boss.
But wait—wasn’t Yugi... T. Mouse?
The three of them had done extensive research on Prime Group and had concluded that Yugi was, without a doubt, T. Mouse. While none of the articles explicitly confirmed it, everyone knew it was him.
As the realization sank in, Shawn and Teddy recalled Penny’s demeanor during the interview the day before. At the time, they hadn’t thought much of it—she hadn’t interrupted or asked questions. But now, looking back, Penny hadn’t just been in that room as a mere spectator.
She had been there because she could.
There was nothing in her demeanor that suggested she needed to be there, that was why she was present.
As for Hayley, Penny hadn’t been present during her interview, so this revelation was completely new to her. She could only wonder if she had missed some crucial information—had she gotten Yugi mixed up with T. Mouse?
Yugi maintained his easygoing smile as he studied their expressions.
"Anyway, it’s not all that bad. She’s not usually like that. Penny is actually very kind, so don’t be scared of her. Unless, of course, you do something that could implicate the company... then, well..."
His smile didn’t falter, but something in his tone shifted. The subtle drop in his voice sent a shiver down their spines.
"...you’re done for."
Their breaths hitched at the brief change in his demeanor, but just as quickly, Yugi’s cheerful expression returned.
"So, see you tomorrow? If you’re still interested, come in the morning and go straight to Human Resources to sign your contract and negotiate your salary. They’ll know what to do."
With that, Yugi chuckled, waved at them, and turned away—spotting the doctors waiting outside.
As he stepped out, he overheard Penny making a remark about Zoren. With that, he saw no need to intervene and simply greeted the medical staff instead.
The hospital director quickly approached Yugi to discuss the required medical exams for the four applicants as part of Prime Group’s hiring process. They spoke briefly before the director handed Yugi off to another doctor, needing to attend to more pressing matters.

Meanwhile, Patricia, Teddy, Shawn, and Hayley remained rooted to the spot, motionless.
After a long moment, they exchanged glances, but no words came out. Their minds were overflowing with questions, but Patricia was the first to break the silence.
"Yeah," Patricia finally sighed, rubbing her temples as the others turned to her. "That’s the CEO of Prime Group. I don’t know who T. Mouse is, but Yugi Cortez is definitely not the one calling the shots. It’s her—that crazy woman. Gosh! Why did I even apply to work for her when I know she’s the craziest, the biggest bully of them all, and just the worst kind of monster?!"
Patricia groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose. She was actually regretting her life choices.
Just because Penny’s office looked nice from the outside, Patricia had momentarily forgotten that she didn’t need a magic mirror to tell her who the craziest of all was.
But before she could wallow in her poor decisions any further, a voice spoke up behind her.
He was kicking Cassandra out.
