Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress novel Chapter 390

Chapter 390: the golden card

"Good day, Mr. Atlas Bennet. My name is Benjamin Vitt from the CEO’s office at Pierson Corporation."

Zoren’s orders this morning were a bit surprising, but meeting Penny’s family was an exciting experience for Benjamin.

Benjamin politely offered Atlas a kind smile before his eyes shifted to the people on the couch. "You must be Chairman Bennet," he said, turning to face the chairman as a sign of courtesy. "Our visit must have been a surprise. We appreciate you seeing us on such short notice."

The chairman nodded, maintaining a strong front. "It’s a visit from Pierson Corporation," he said sternly. ’He mentioned he’s from the CEO’s office and is the CEO’s right-hand man. Why would the head of the Pierson Family send his right hand here?’

Just thinking about the reasons made the chairman’s head ache. Whoever Atlas had offended was likely not just any Pierson Family member. What a headache! Although Benjamin’s tone was polite and friendly, the chairman knew all too well that such an approach often masked deeper intentions. Especially with a family like the Piersons, this was merely a brief display of diplomacy.

Benjamin smiled before his eyes landed on Sven. Before he could speak, Sven straightened his back and proudly introduced himself.

"Good day, Mr. Vitt. I am Sven Bennet, the general manager of Global Prime Logistics." Sven took a step forward and kindly offered his hand to Benjamin. "If you need anything, you can always reach out to me."

Benjamin raised his brows, slightly confused. A handshake usually signified a done deal between businessmen. However, in the world they operated in, handshakes carried various meanings and were as significant as making a declaration.

Sven’s smile stiffened as Benjamin simply glanced at his hand and smiled without taking it.

As for Atlas, he glanced at this opportunist, who seemed to have no idea what he was doing. Ignoring him, Atlas turned his attention back to Benjamin.

"Mr. Vitt, may I ask what brings the assistant of the head of the Pierson Family to visit me?" As always, Atlas didn’t mince words.

The chairman and Sven looked at Benjamin in anticipation—one hoping Benjamin’s next words weren’t about a lawsuit or a warning, the other holding his breath in excitement.

Benjamin beamed when Atlas asked. "Mr. Atlas Bennet, I’m here because my boss asked me to relay a message."

With that, Benjamin gestured to one of the staff members who had accompanied them. The staff member was holding a small box, like an offering, and handed it to Atlas.

Glancing at the small chest in the other person’s hand, Atlas furrowed his brows. "What’s this?" he asked as he carefully opened the chest, revealing an envelope inside.

The chairman also furrowed his brows, wondering what was inside the small chest. It was too small for legal documents, yet too large for a mere gift.

Sven, on the other hand, stretched his neck to peek. All he saw was an envelope inside. When Atlas took it out, he confirmed it was an envelope.

"What is this?" Atlas asked again, casting Benjamin a quick look.

Benjamin maintained his bright smile as he said, "You’ll know once you open it, Mr. Bennet."

It’s said that the invitations sent out every year to this event come in a few different colors: orange, blue, green, red, and gold. These colors signify a hierarchy, a status symbol. As a result, the color of the invitation became something the elite could brag about to their peers. ƒreewebɳovel.com
