"Hey! Stop right there!" Aiden howled, his eyes shaking as he watched Penny march in his direction without flinching. "I said stop right there!"
He threw the bottle at her as she got closer. Much to his dismay, Penny simply tilted her head and dodged it.
"Shit!" Aiden panicked even more, turning his head to find anything he could use to protect himself. When his eyes landed on the other table full of drinks, glasses, and even plates, he rushed to it. "I said stop!"
Just as he reached the table and picked up whatever he could, he was about to toss it in her direction to stop her. However, he halted when he saw that Penny had stopped. Slowly, their eyes fell on the hand grabbing her ankle.
It was one of the guys she had taken down earlier.
"What’s wrong with you?" Penny arched a brow, lifting her foot, but the man’s grip didn’t budge.
"Ugh..." the man grunted, placing his other hand on the floor to push himself up. He barely lifted his body when he pulled her ankle down.
"Penny!" Nina gasped, covering her mouth as she watched Penny slide onto the floor.
Penny hit her head against the floor again, wincing as she felt her ears ring with a flat line. However, she didn’t dwell on it when she saw that the man who had pulled her down was getting up on his knees.
"Tch," she hissed, shaking off the striking pain in her head. Penny swiftly rolled on the ground, kicking the man in the knees as soon as he raised his foot with his other knee still on the floor.
"Ack!" the man yelped at the crushing pain in his knees, making him fall back down. But before he could fully react, he felt her foot sandwiching his head.
For a second, the man’s heart thudded nervously as he sensed the omen in the seconds to come. His eyes went wide, only to see Penny smirking like the devil.
"You—" The rest of his words vanished as she moved her feet, keeping his head trapped between them and smashing it against the small pillar nearby.
This time, the crowd had no time to cheer her on, nor did they want to. They just watched everything unfold with wide eyes, unsure if they were witnessing this correctly. After all, everything was happening so fast that if one didn’t pay attention, they would miss everything completely.
"Ack!" The life in the man’s eyes briefly dimmed as he felt his brain bounce around his skull. However, despite hitting his head against the concrete, he didn’t completely lose consciousness.
The man fell, his hand landing on the floor as a reflex of the fall. His eyes remained unfocused as he felt groggy from the vicious attack. Earlier, while fighting Penny, they hadn’t sensed this bloodlust. They had sensed murderous intent and fierceness, but right now, all they could feel was bloodlust, as if she sought something more than just a simple beating.
And he was right.
’She will not... kill me, will she?’ he wondered to himself as her stance suggested she was planning to snap his neck in one swift move.
