Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 478

Jennifer was well aware that there was no way this stunning woman would lend her five thousand dollars without conditions. After all, they weren't related in any way. So, she took the initiative to mention an interest.

Jean smiled meaningfully. She knew full well that Jennifer was in no position to pay her back, and she found the situation amusing.

With a smile, she responded, "I don't need you to pay me back this five thousand dollars. But there are a few things I need you to do for me."

Jennifer was ecstatic. She couldn't believe her luck. She'd be able to receive money without having to repay it. This was too good to be true! She didn't hesitate for a second and readily agreed, "Sure! Even if you asked me to do dozens of things, I'd still say yes! I'll do anything you want!"

Jean was delighted to see that Jennifer had taken the bait. She had Lynn bring over a contract and handed it to Jennifer. "Here's a contract. Once you sign it, the five thousand dollars is yours. However, I must remind you that if you don't do as the agreement says, I can take the five thousand dollars back anytime. So, you'd better think carefully!"

Blinded by greed, Jennifer snatched the wad of cash and signed the contract without reading it. She then thanked Jean. "From this moment on, you're a daughter to me. No matter what you need, I'll see to it that it gets done!"

Jean glanced at the signed contract and smiled. "Very well, Madam Stein. You may leave now. I will contact you when I need your assistance. As long as you do well, I'll give you another sum of money, and you won't have to worry about your son's wedding."

That promise painted a rosy picture in Jennifer's mind. After expressing her gratitude, she stuffed the five thousand dollars into her bag and left with a smile.
