Nadine was well aware of the fight between Brad and Tyler yesterday. Honestly, Tyler deserved it. If Brad hadn't shown up when he did, she'd probably have been shoved into the limelight by now.
Before, she didn't really dislike Tyler. She just felt that the two of them were better suited to be friends, not lovers or partners.
And when Brad started going after his family, she had considered putting in a good word for Tyler, asking Brad to go easy on him. But before she even had the chance to open her mouth, Tyler had done something like this.
Even though she had no idea what Tyler planned to do with the video he'd taken, the fact that he tried to use her like that made her stomach turn. There was no way they could even be friends now.
Yesterday, she had been too angry to think straight. She didn't want to see Brad, and she definitely didn't want to see Tyler, so she just took off without saying a word. But now that she had calmed down, she had a clearer view of things.
She decided to avoid Tyler from then on. She wouldn't say another word to him, not even a friendly greeting.
Oddly enough, seeing Brad beat up Tyler made her see him in a different light. She had no idea that punching someone who deserved it could feel so gratifying.
Nadine was puzzled as she looked at the cut at the corner of his mouth. Brad was always the one dishing out injuries—how had he ended up getting hurt?
Considering that he got injured because of her, she couldn't help but ask, "How'd you get that cut?"
Even though Brad wasn't looking straight at Nadine, his focus never strayed far from her. He would occasionally glance at her out of the corner of his eye, keeping a close watch on her. When she finally noticed him—and even showed a hint of concern—his eyes lit up.
