After receiving multiple mentions from Zayne, Zivon eventually got the message. Immediately clicking on the link—instead of replying to Zayne first—, Zivon was soon greeted by the sight of a gentlemanly Stefan escorting a lovely-looking woman out of a car. Though her face couldn’t be seen, Zivon could tell that it really was her. Still, with how cooperative and well-behaved Xavia—who had the aura of a young lady from a humble family in the video—was being in Stefan’s presence, Zivon couldn’t help but feel that she behaved completely differently around him…
Regardless, so she was this keen on leaving early just because she wanted to meet up with Stefan and check into a hotel room with him? The thought of it alone made Zivon so irritated that his hand turned white from clenching his cell phone too hard…
Zivon’s train of thought was cut short when his message notification ringtone began playing in succession. Returning to the group chat and seeing that it was just Zayne spam mentioning him again, Zivon quickly typed back, ‘Have you finally lost it?’
Upon seeing Zivon’s message, Zayne momentarily went silent. After all, he had been trying to notify Zivon of this important news for the longest time! With that in mind, why was that Zivon’s first response? He didn’t do anything wrong, did he?
Before Zayne could figure it out, he received another message from Zivon, stating, ‘She has nothing to do with me anymore.’
Despite how simple the message was, it sounded decisive and unforgiving at the same time. Either way, Zayne had now gathered that Zivon was mad at Xavia… and that Zivon was going to redirect his anger at him if Zayne wasn’t careful! Not wanting to be any part of that, Zayne quieted down before eventually leaving the group chat, unannounced…
Zivon himself laid down on his bed, his eyes darkened as he continued scrolling through the news on his cell phone.
…Why was he still caring so much about her news when she liked that other man so much? Since she chose to leave, he may as well get her completely out of his life…
With that in mind, Zivon turned his cell phone off before heading downstairs. Walking over to the wine cabinet, he then poured himself a glass of red wine before gulping its contents in one go…
Before he could fill another glass, a tiny voice could be heard asking, “…Daddy…? Are you upset that Aunt left as well…?”
Turning around, Zivon saw that Maison—who had pajamas and a pair of slippers on—was staring right at him. After a brief pause, Zivon simply replied, “I’m fine. I’m just thirsty.”
