Chapter31
Esteban’s eyes darkened. “Changed or not, she’s still our daughter.”
Roger objected. “Dad, she’s just an adopted daughter!”
“Roger. shut up. I’ve told you not to say such things. Have you forgotten?”
Roger suddenly stood up. “Dad, are you worried about ruining our relationship with Seymour? It’s simple, if Felicia divorces Seymour, Mabel can marry him. That would be the best outcome. Anyway, Mabel should have been Seymour’s wife in the first place!”
“Enough!” Esteban banged the table in anger. “I don’t want to hear that from any of you ever again.”
Mabel felt disappointment and a sense of loss in her heart.
Who said this family would always be on her side and think for her benefit?
Didn’t her dad just make it clear that he was
Felicia’s side?
Eugene had previously given the Pruitt family some consideration because of his recognition and admiration for Felicia.
Several projects were collaborations with Pruitt Pharmaceuticals. Now that Felicia was being treated poorly by them, he decided not to continue working with them.
He wouldn’t give them any opportunity to collaborate.
He gave Felicia a call and said, “Licia, the idea for the last gastric cancer research project was yours. Some of my students refined it later, but the
credit should go to you. I originally wanted to give this achievement to your father’s company, but when I learned that no one from your family showed up when you had your baby. I decided not to offer the
collaboration to them.”
Listening to Eugene. Felicia pondered for a moment before replying. “Mr. Galvan, did my father give you trouble?”
“Not really, just persistent begging. I didn’t agree.”
A warm feeling surged through Felicia’s heart. “Mr. Galvan, our research is to promote more effective treatment plans. Since you don’t like collaborating with the Pruitt family, we can switch to another company. The achievement belongs to you and everyone on your team. I just proposed the concept; you are the ones who completed the research.”
These words warmed Eugene’s heart.

Felicia truly lived the talent he had chosen, and she had such a broad perspective.
However, he still wouldn’t be friendly towards the Pruitt family.
Especially since Felicia referred to her own family as “the Pruitt family,” clearly showing that she no longer wanted to have any connection with them
“I see. By the way, do you need me to arrange the baby shower?”
Felicia remembered the grand baby shower for Ambrose where many guests were invited to celebrate his birth.
But for Minerva, it was hard to even gather one table of people.
Still, her daughter was the apple of her eye, so she also wanted to celebrate it in a grand way.
“Okay, Mr. Galvan. I’ll go with your plan, thank you.”
Eugene hung up, feeling very happy. He called Darrick and said. “Licia just said it’s up to me to arrange the baby shower for Mina. What do you think. Darrick?”
Darrick huffed, subtly showing signs of jealousy and anger, “Eugene, you’re shameless. Licin is my student! Not only did you take her away from me, but now you’re trying to take Mina too!”
“Go away, Darrick, you’re the shameless one. Has Licia ever personally admitted that she is your student? Mina is her daughter, and she has nothing to do with you. Licia hasn’t even agreed to return to your Genesis Clime!”
Darrick and Eugene had competed all their lives, and now in their twilight years, they were still arguing over a student.
Darrick was anxious. “Old man, don’t you dare arrange it secretly. Tell me the time and place. I’ll help you prepare for the baby shower!”
“Fine. I’ll take you along since you look so pitiful.”
Actually, Eugene wanted to make Minerva’s baby shower grand too, which was why he told Darrick.
