The condition for Chloe to receive the shares was that she must bear a boy. 

Whether the shares went to Chloe or her child, they would ultimately remain within the Stewart family, effectively securing a portion for them. 

This would provide an opportunity for the Stewart family to climb the social ladder by leveraging the Baker Group. 

However, Felicity had ruined everything. 

She was utterly inept at handling important matters. 

Knowing full well that her daughter was destined to marry into the Baker family. Felicity still publicly brawled with Gloria at Raffle Hotel, completely abandoning the grace expected of a high–society lady. 

In just two short hours, Griffin and Howard were on the verge of becoming the laughingstocks of their social circle. Griffin was furious, his frustration reaching a boiling point as he berated Felicity. “You parade around all day, acting like a high–society lady, showing off incessantly. But at Raffle Hotel, where did that ladylike demeanor go! 

“Moreover, I’ve told you before, even if Sophia isn’t the Stewart family’s blood, with her looks, she could have brought us benefits. The Stewart family raised her for years; she should have given something back. But you drove her away. 

“Why was Sophia able to appear at Raffle Hotel? Why did she have the power to have the manager kick us out?” 

Griffin’s voice rose with each question. “Why are you crying? You don’t know? Are you even a competent mother! No wonder Sophia, now that she’s climbed high, won’t lift a finger to help the Stewart family. You’re nothing but a troublemaker for the Stewart family.” 

Every time Griffin thought about being escorted out by the security guards, struggling and looking back to see the manager, who had banished him and placed him and the Baker family on Roscente Group’s blacklist, fawning over Sophia, his heart twisted in pain. 

He didn’t know how she did it, but Sophia’s current status was undeniably high. 

If they had treated her better and not driven her out, the Stewart family could have leveraged her connections to gain significant benefits. 

Felicity, on the receiving end of Griffin’s scolding, was far from willing to accept it. She cried petulantly, “The Baker family is on the brink of bankruptcy. They’re the ones begging us for help. Why should we let them treat us like this? Even if you don’t care about our reputation. I have to stand up for Chloe. 

“Why bring up Sophia when talking about me? Who knows how shameless she could be, doing whatever it takes to stay in the high society? The Stewart family doesn’t need such dirty connections, gained by selling oneself. 

She added, “She might be able to charm that manager for now, but not forever. At best, Sophia is just a man’s plaything Once she’s used up, she’ll be nothing but a despised bitch. 

“At least Chloe is pure and clean. Chloe is a close friend of Miss Roscente and will be an excellent partner in the future. Instead of helping the Baker family connect with the Roscente family, we should establish our own relationship with them. Once we have their support, who needs the Baker family?” 

With a smug smile, Felicity pulled Chloe closer to her side. “Chloe, am I right? You’re much better than Sophia.” 

Griffin’s eyes darkened as he studied Chloe for a moment, his gaze piercing. “Chloe, what do you think?” 

When Felicity pulled her over, Chloe’s face was still somewhat sullen. 

Although she always claimed to be Xandra’s best friend, deep down, she knew she was nothing more than Nandra’s pawn. 

Because Chloe was obedient and useful, Nandra kept her around. 

A pawn had no right to make demands of her master. 

But under Griffin’s scrutinizing gaze, Chloe felt a shiver run through her. 

Recalling how Griffin had mentioned Sophia, she gritted her teeth and forced a smile. “Mom, Dad, if you need me, I’ll do my best to help 

I absolutely cannot let Griffin compare me to Sophia. I will never be less than Sophia, Chloe thought to herself. 

After reluctantly agreeing to help Griffin and Xandra, Chloe called Xandra to test the waters. 

However, Mary answered the phone. 

Upon learning from Mary that Xandra was in the hospital, Chloe immediately had an idea. 

She decided to use this as an excuse to bring Griffin and Felicity to the hospital, using the visit as a way to connect them with Xandra 

Mary, likely bored in the hospital, complained bitterly over the phone. 

From her grievances, Chloe sensed that this was the perfect time to visit. 

Without hesitation, she brought Griffin and Felicity to State Hospital. 

“Chloe Chlor?” Griffin had been nervously talking for a while, but Chloe wasn’t responding. He frowned deeply and looked up at her, only to see her staring blankly in one direction. 

Following her gaze, Griffin’s eyes widened in shock at the sight of the one–of–a–kind, top–tier Maybach, a limited edition so exclusive that only one existed globally. 

Men, especially those in high society, had a weakness for luxury cars. 

Griffin took a deep breath and muttered, ‘In the entire Virelia, there are only three people who could possibly own such a car. I wonder who’s inside
