Chapter 30
the other while grinning playfully. Thank you, Mr. Years?”
“With all that drinking going on, mind your own business,” Sophia shook her head helplessly and left the room with Tristan.
She booked several rooms upstairs for her friends and slipped some cash to the waiter at the entrance, asking him to assist in getting everyone settled into their rooms later.
It was common for this crowd to let loose during the weekdays, but she was different now–she had family waiting at home who needed her.
Tristan held onto Sophia’s wrist tightly. Despite having been forced by Zach and Sherry’s crew to drink quite a bit himself, his dark eyes remained clear, showing no signs of being drunk.
Sophia, standing next to him, seemed to have had her fill of drinks. Although she had been walking steadily and managing everything well before they left, her small face was now flushed a deeper red than usual–much more enticing than her bright crimson lips.
Especially her sparkling eyes looked dreamy as if filled with soft water under starlight–a sight that could easily captivate anyone.
Her delicate body leaned against his as they smoothly made their way out of the hotel together.
“Come on, Tristan, I’m a human being, not some cow or horse. Can you have a little conscience? Calling me out of my cozy bed in the middle of the night. Do you even realize how cruel that is? If there’s someone beautiful in my arm, aren’t you?”
Gary pulled up to the hotel entrance and flung open the car door, jumping out to complain as soon as he spotted Tristan coming out. However, when his eyes landed on the girl half–cuddled in Tristan’s arms, he suddenly fell silent
Gary couldn’t hold back any longer, his eyes nearly popped out of his head. Without caring about how late it was, he yelled at the top of his lungs, “Hey! Who’s this woman? Tristan! You–you’re actually holding a woman!”
His loud voice made Sophia frown slightly. She lazily lifted her gaze to look at Cary
Tristan noticed she looked uncomfortable and shot Gray an icy glare. He ordered him, “Shut up.”
Gary’s mouth dropped open: he couldn’t find any words. It felt like a snake was coiling around his throat, almost choking him.
He swallowed hard while glancing nervously between Tristan and the girl leaning against him,
His eyes widened again as he pointed at Sophia with trembling fingers but ended up freezing under Tristan’s cold stare without making a sound.
Oh wow! Isn’t she the illegitimate daughter of the Stewart Family who I saw outside the Global Century Hotel–the one who talked back? And isn’t she also the one who has a crush on Mr. Baker? What is she doing in Tristan’s arms now? Such a bizarre situation!
Inside, Gary was screaming with confusion but eventually quieted down and obediently opened the back seat door to help Tristan get Sophia into the car.
Now, Gary was buzzing with curiosity, and all that annoyance about being dragged out of his comfy bed in the middle of the night had vanished.
As he got into the car, he kept sneaking glances at the rearview mirror to check on the two people sitting in the back.
Sophia was leaning back in her seat, her long lashes drooping as she closed her eyes to shake off some dizziness.
She hadn’t seen her close friends in three years. They exactly knew what she had been through during that time, but they all pretended not to know, just as enthusiastically as they had three years ago.
She let herself enjoy that moment, soaking up this long–lost happiness and wishing for another drink or two
Perhaps it was because she hadn’t touched alcohol in a long time, her body felt a little strange with it now. She started feeling lightheaded.
After driving for a while, Gray glanced at them through the rearview mirror and noticed there wasn’t any interaction between those two. His, curlocity was really getting to him.
He saw his chance and lowered his voice cautiously. “Hey, Tristan, where are we headed now? Are we going straight to your place!”
“If Tristan agreed to drop the Stewart Family’s illegitimate daughter off at his place… then wow I’d have to start calling her sister–in–law! he

To the Virella Supreme, came Sophia’s soft voice from behind him, but still clear enough. She slowly opened her eyes, in the dim light, they sparkled softly yet appeared completely alert. Thank you
Gray blinked for a second and stared blankly at Sophia in the rearview mirror.

She was a beauty who could charm anyone. And her flawless face looked even more captivating now with that tipsy flush adding an extra layer of
He couldn’t help but feel his heart race just by looking at her
Still, he kept staring into her eyes for a few more seconds. In the rearview mirror, he caught a glimpse of her deep, sorrowful obsidian black eyes.
Still, he kept staring into her eyes for a few more secords. In the rearview mirror, he caught Tristan’s murderous eyes.
Gray fel a shiver
up his spine and quickly looked away, raising his voice slightly as he said, “Alright, we’re headed to the Virelia Supreme. Gray is here to serve you wholeheartedly!”
Wait! The Virelia Supreme! That’s an upscale neighborhood in Virelia. Even I might not be able to afford a villa there!
Was the Stewart family’s false daughter supposed to be broke? How could she possibly live there? Could it be that Tristan went all out and bought her a villa just because he’s pursuing her is he that crazzy!”
As Gray drove, these thoughts raced through his mind while he occasionally glanced up at the rearview mirror.
“It’s about a forty–minute drive from here to the Virelia Supreme. Want to take a nap? Tristan asked and rossed his black suit jacket over Sophia.
