Celeste and Damien turned their heads simultaneously when they heard the voice.

A familiar figure suddenly appeared in the line of their sight.

Why was Adrian suddenly back?

“Uncle Adrian, I just got a little carried away…” Damien instinctively released his grip on her.

His brow slightly furrowed when he looked at the man before him.

Adrian shot him an indifferent glance before shifting his gaze to Celeste.

Her eyes happened to meet his.

Their eye contact lasted only for a second before he looked away and turned to look at Damien beside him. “Were you two fighting just now?”

Damien wanted to say something, but he ended up swallowing his words.

Celeste saw him remain silent and said calmly, “We were just having a disagreement, that’s all.

“What do you mean by disagreement? Grandpa has been against our divorce and keeps trying to get us back together. He insisted I bring Lucian along when he heard she was visiting. If I’d known she’d be here-”

“I wouldn’t have come if I’d known you two were coming.” She cut him off before he could

“Celeste, must you embarrass me like this?”
