[Ding! World Boss: Frostmane the Ancient Glacier, Level 80]
"I knew it!" Damon’s crimson eyes lit up with interest, his grin widening like a wolf scenting blood. A world boss, here? Completely unexpected, but as soon as he sensed the mana signature, he had a strong feeling that it had to be something powerful.
Naturally, he was not planning to let this big boy escape. He was not in the least worried about Robert or his progress. In fact, there was a surprise waiting for the guy if he actually tried to go deeper than the sixth break point. That surprise was enough to buy him some time.
For now, he was going to hunt down this massive beauty of a monster happily. The creature simply looked regal and majestic. It was a big boy with ice crystal tusks and a hide like frost-forged steel.
Damon studied the beast with a predatory gleam. Frostmane’s aura pulsed with a cold fury, its massive paws cracking the frost beneath it with every step. Jagged shards of ice jutted from its back like a crown, and Damon felt that hunger surge in his blood.
"Tasty," he whispered, licking his lips. The bear’s blood smelled unexpectedly divine.
Seeing Damon eyeing it like a piece of steak, the Frostmane roared in anger. A blast of frigid air exploded from its maw, forming a ring of ice spikes. "Come at me, you oversized snowball," he taunted and dashed straight to it, summoning his crimson fire lance in his hand.
With a roar that split the air, the bear lunged, fangs like icicles, claws like frozen razors. The two of them collided with a bang as Damon faced the world boss head-on.
Unlike his previous fight, he had no shortcuts hidden in his sleeve for this one. He would be testing the limits of his new body in the most straightforward method, a good old dog fight, or in this case, a bear fight.
BOOM!
The two attacks collided and, surprisingly, both of them were pushed back. The frost wave that burst from the big boy completely blocked the powerful crimson lance.
Damon found himself evenly matched with the damned bear. "No wonder, you are a world boss!" He grinned. The bear, on the other hand, wasn’t all that pleased.
The Frostmane let out an earth-shaking roar. Its massive head swung with the force of a wrecking ball, tusks glowing with a savage blue light that crackled like a living blizzard.
"Bring it on," Damon growled, the fire lance in his hand blazing brighter, its heat searing through the cold air. "Show me what makes you a world boss, Frosty."
In response, the bear slammed its claws into the ground. The next second, a shimmering ice field erupted outward, the temperature dropping in an instant.
