He simply pretended it didn’t happen, which was expected of him, since Cane had his own suspicions that the King was behind it all.

There was no way Alpha Gill dared to act so boldly until he fostered a dark sorcerer without a common goal between them.

"May the King hear the voice of his subjects and uphold justice," Cane spoke so smoothly, outsiders might think he was very concerned about the furor of the public upon hearing about black magic, but the truth was; he was going to downplay the matter about Ethan’s offense against the Crown Prince.
