Iris bit her lips until she could feel her blood in her mouth, tears rolled down her eyes, as she tried to reach for something in the side pocket of her dress, which now gathered around her waist.
Alpha Gill wasn’t paying close attention to her, as he was busy enjoying whatever he could do at this moment to satisfy his own needs.
Iris fought the waves of disgust and hatred feelings she was going through right now. She hated the feeling of his hands on her and how he touched her. It brought back more memories of when Kellan assaulted her when she was a child.
The images that flashed before her eyes were so vivid, the touch from Alpha Gill and what he was doing to her, overlapped with the images of what Kellan had done to her. Everything came crashing down on her at the same time, rendering her petrified.
Her hand stopped moving to find the dagger that Cane gave to her, her mind froze, caging her in her own fears and trapping her in her trauma, as the same thing was happening to her again, right now.
She should fight, but she couldn’t move a finger. She should scream asking for help, but she lost the ability to do so as well.
Her brain was entrapped in the darkest memory of her life, which she tried to forget and her mind was her enemy right now.
Cane...
She kept calling that name to keep herself sane, yet, even so, it was so hard for her to stop the stream of thoughts, flooding her senses, from dragging her down.
Iris stared at the ceiling, trying to move her body, as she breathed erratically. Though Alpha Gill was no longer covering her mouth and nose and she was supposed to be able to breathe freely, she still felt like she was being strangled.
Cane...
Iris tried to ward off image after image of Kellan. Her memories returned in such a time, where she really didn’t need it.
And when she thought she would be done for, Iris saw a wisp, which gradually took the shape of a wolf... a dark grey wolf. The wolf was akin to a puff of smoke and it descended down on her, close enough for Iris to touch it if she could lift her hand.
For a moment, she was distracted by the sight. What was this? Could other people see it? But then, she felt this ominous feeling, where she felt a sudden rage within her, like a storm that hit you so hard.
Iris hated the sight of the grey wolf somehow and eventually lifted her hand to strangle the dark grey smoke, which had the form of a wolf. She tightened her grip and the smoke evaporated.
And at the same time, Alpha Gill let out a shriek, so loud, it rang throughout the walls. The sound was akin to a goat being butchered.
He clutched his chest tightly and rolled his body to the side. Curling over in pain.
Once Alpha Gill got off of her body and Iris could move easily, she immediately grabbed the silver dagger from the crumpled mess of her dress and stabbed the Alpha on his shoulder several times.
"DIE! DIE! DIE!" Iris screamed, as if she was possessed. "GO DIE!"
Because of the commotion and the constant screams from inside the room, Redmond, who was looking for Iris, because he couldn’t find her in her bedroom, immediately approached this room. He wouldn’t be mistaken, it must be her voice.
