Chapter 502: THE ALPHA’S WRATH

Hanna tried to ask what happened to him, why the sudden change in him and why he pushed her away, whether she did something wrong without realizing it, or if it was something that happened in the palace she didn’t know about.

She recalled the first time Will acted so strangely was around the new year’s eve. He had been avoiding her ever since.

However, no matter how Hanna tried to make him open up to her, Will was determined not to say a single word, and only kept repeating how sorry he was for all the pain he caused her.

"I am sorry... I am really sorry..." Will kept kneeling in front of Hanna, hugging her waist tightly, as he rested his head on her stomach. He refused to stand up, as if he was trying to punish himself. "I am sorry, Hanna. I am sorry..."

"Will..." Hanna was devastated to see him like this. The sight of him was unsettling. She wanted to help him, do anything to make sure he returned to his old self, but she didn’t know how to and what she could do.

As of right now, she could only say useless things to comfort him, while caressing his head and his back, so he wouldn’t be so tense. His shoulders were very stiff.

"Let’s lie down, okay? You will hurt your knees if you keep kneeling like this. I will be so sad to see you getting hurt."

It worked, as Will slowly stood up. As a warrior, he was so tall and he easily towered over her, but all Hanna could feel was; how his presence casted a dark and gloomy feeling. It was so depressing to say the least.

"Come here, lie down here." Hanna called Will over after she arranged the bed. "You will feel better after sleeping for a while. I will get something for you to eat."

However, when Hanna turned around to leave, Will hugged her from behind. He dropped his head on her shoulder, as he took the liberty to breathe in her scent.

"Don’t go, don’t leave..." he whimpered.

"I will only get something for us to eat, okay?" Hanna caressed his head, her heart ached to hear the tremors in his voice.

"Don’t leave me alone... I am afraid..." Will started to sob. He was hyperventilating, but he hugged Hanna so tightly, so she couldn’t turn her body around. "I am... afraid..."

Hanna gulped down, she felt her throat constricting. "What... are you afraid of, Will? What happened?"

Will kept repeating the same thing and Hanna couldn’t get anything out of him, aside from the fact he was trembling in fear over something she was not sure about.

"Don’t be afraid, I am here. I will not let anything happen to you, okay? You are in the Howling Wolf pack, your home. Nothing will happen." Hanna tried to calm him down, but the more she noticed how painfully he cried for help and how terrified he was, the more tears came to her eyes.

She wanted to beg him to tell her what happened so desperately in order to understand.

"She always comes in my nightmare..." Will whispered. "I don’t want to do it anymore... she disgusts me..."

"She?"

==============================

Seeing Eron and Dyne right outside his bedroom door brought a small smile to Cane’s lips, not because he was happy to see the two of them, but because it meant, Iris already returned and was currently in their bedroom.

Today was awfully tiring, not to mention the exhaustion from the other night still fresh in his bones, but knowing he would return to his mate and Iris was just inside their bedroom, his heart was a little bit light.

He had someone waiting for him and also someone to return to. It was a feeling that you couldn’t describe in words. When you had someone who could push your worries aside for a while and tune out the hectic world which was full of schemes and tricks... it was an out of the world feeling for him.

"Good evening, Alpha," Eron greeted Cane, followed by Dyne. "The Luna has returned an hour ago."

Cane nodded to acknowledge the information and opened the door. He could smell her scent and this relaxed his tensed up muscles in an instant, but it didn’t take long for a curse to escape his lips, as he started swearing and barking out orders.

"FUCK! Get Grace here! Now!" Cane rushed toward Iris. His heart dropped to his stomach to see her lying, still, on the cold floor. She wasn’t moving at all. Her whole body was very cold when he took her into his arms. He felt like he was holding a big ice cube instead. "Damn it! Damn it!"

Cane immediately carried Iris to the bed and covered her body with a blanket, while Eron lit up the fireplace. Dyne had rushed away to get Grace to come over. It shocked them, too, to see Iris fall unconscious on the floor. They didn’t realize it.
