The Alpha: Claiming His Enemy's Daughter novel Chapter 609

Chapter 609: MAPLE LEAVES

Somehow, recently Iris had been desired for her mate more, she wanted his attention and to touch him ever so often, but unfortunately, Cane was always busy.

The alpha would comeback late at night and left before she woke up, there were only a few interactions between them during the day and Iris tried to focus on something else, but Cane’s absence frustrated her.

And this afternoon, she didn’t wish to do anything. She only wanted to be alone, since she was too tired to go out. Her mood has been low lately.

Thinking Cane must be busy right now, or so she thought, she held herself back from looking for him.

A few days ago, Iris overheard one of the mistresses of alpha Adrian spoke about how she could get pregnant. No, she actually read their conversation from afar.

The gist of it was; their position when they did the deed could raise a possibility to get pregnant.

If it was not because of how embarrassed it would be, Iris would have approached them and asked them to elaborate further, but her timid self was still there and to think she would ask such thing only made her face turned into crimson color, which confused Aliana.

She thought, her luna was sick or something to see how red her face was.

Therefore, the only solution Iris had in her hand right now was these books that she bought from the book store a few nights ago during the festivity. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

Who would have thought, Cane would come and catch her red handed with the book in her hand...

"Ah!" Iris screamed, she jumped out of her skin to hear Cane’s voice. She immediately threw the book away, as if that thing had burned her hand.

She swore, she loved to hear his voice and his voice was still her number one favorite, and how she had been craving his presence, but right now she didn’t want him to be here.

"Where are you going?" Cane easily caught her body, as he sneaked his arm around her waist and held her tightly, he pulled her closer until her back was against his chest. His arm was very secure and Iris couldn’t retaliate.

Of course, Iris’s first instinct was to flee from him, from this room and dig a hole to bury herself. It was simply very embarrassing!

"Let’s read the book together," Cane said against her neck, as his lips barely touched her skin, sending goosebumps to her stomach.

"N- no... I- I am done..." Iris stuttered. Her body felt very hot. She wished to be anywhere, but here. "L- let me go..." she whimpered. She was so close to cry.

"You are done reading that book?" Cane reached out his other hand to get the book, but Iris kicked it away. "I don’t know that you are very feisty, Iris," Cane chuckled to see how red his mate became. "If you have done reading it, why don’t you tell me what is it about?"

Heaven!

Did he try to kill her?! Because sure enough, Iris felt like she was going to die!

She struggled to get away from him, but if Cane determined for her to be in his arms, there was nothing she could do to change that.

"Let me go..." Iris whimpered.

"And where do you want to go exactly?" Cane started to kiss her nape and nibbled there lightly, which made Iris less determined to get away from him.

He missed her. He knew that he had been very busy lately with the merchant was already here and alpha Nolan kept nagging him to go to the Red Claw pack, especially now when he was summoned to the palace.

Even blind people could see it was a trap and it was still questionable, whether he could go out of there with his life or not once he stepped in the capital city.

Yet, he dismissed everything and went to find his mate. A lot of things jumbled up in his mind and he wanted a few moment alone with his mate to clear his head, only to get this pleasant surprise.

"I..." Iris bit her lip when she felt Cane’s hand brushed her ribs close enough to touch her breast. He was teasing her! "I want to check on Zale..."

"Hm... what do you want to check?"
