Chapter 702: BLACK RAIN AND DARK SKY (44)

"I know you are awake," Cane said, as he ran his fingers absentmindedly on her jawline. He had met with Koda and took care a few things, but when he returned, Iris was still asleep.

Adjusting to the time Iris usually woke up, Cane had prepared food for her. It couldn’t be said as a breakfast, since it was close to lunch.

"I have prepared food for you, don’t you want to eat?"

Sheepishly, Iris opened her eyes. "What you have prepared?" she asked timidly, as she glanced at the tray on the table. She couldn’t resist the temptation of food, her appetite was incredible recently. You could say this was an easy pregnancy, aside from occasional nauseas and craving something.

"Iris..."

"I am sorry, I know I am wrong. I will not do it again."

Cane stared into her blue eyes. "Please, meant it when you promised me something."

Iris lowered her head, feeling incredulously guilty because she went behind Cane’s back last night to see the white diamond tiger.

"I don’t want to see you in danger, Iris." Cane’s voice softened. "I have a lot of people tricked me, I don’t want you too do the same thing."

"I am..."

Cane kissed her lips to swallow her apology. "Let’s eat." He helped her to sit down and arranged the pillow behind her back. "Hurt?" he asked when he saw Iris winched.

"A little bit," Iris replied sheepishly, red color spread on her cheeks. "My hips a little bit sore..."

Cane put the small table, so she could eat on the bed, while he wrapped his arm around her back and massaged her hips, while she was munching on her meat.

Zale was stunned. He didn’t know what to do after he witnessed this and choose to runaway before neither Kian nor Nala noticed him had witnessed them there.

"What a bad day!" Zale grumbled on his way toward Lou’s tent, where he found Sabian was tending to his master. Lou looked like a mess. He refused when he was told to let Grace check on him.

He acted all tough, but there he was, unable to even lift a finger.

At the same time, Zale felt a pity for him because he was actually being cheated on and that woman, instead of tending to her man, was kissing another man instead. Zale would look Kian differently from now on too.

"Boy, you need to ask permission before you entered the tent," Sabian reprimanded Zale. He was actually a sorcerer too, but from what Zale saw, it seemed, he was not as powerful as the merchant.

Zale ignored what Sabian said and walked toward Lou’s bed, which made the old man mad, but Lou stopped him when he was about to drag him out of the tent.

"Leave us alone," Lou said in his weak voice. He hated the sound of it and even more when he was in vulnerable state, where he couldn’t defense himself if he was being attacked.

"But, master..."

"Leave."

Couldn’t argue with his master, Sabian finally left the two of them.

"How many people have known about my identity as a sorcerer?" Lou asked straight to the point.

"I told no one."

Lou raised his brows. He looked exhausted and the sight of him should be able to evoke sympathy, but somehow, he still managed to look annoying.

"Really?"

Zale furrowed his brows when his honesty was being questioned.

"Do you still have that stone?" Lou remembered it was Zale, who had brought the magic stone when they were going to help Aliana and the other, so he thought, he had some with him.

Zale didn’t answer immediately, he stared at the merchant blankly. "I have stone," he finally said.

"Good. Give it to me." Lou needed to get some extra energy, but it took a while for Sabian to get some magic stones, especially when they had to afford it secretly, since the magic users from the Holy Kingdom had been around.

"With one condition."
