The question that Iris had asked to Abby was; what happened if all the swords were broken? They didn’t know what the answer, because there was no record for that. All the record about the history of Serafim and Decratic came from the first Serafim and it was Na, who created the five swords.
Therefore, Na didn’t need the five swords to sustain her power.
But now, they would get the exact answer for that question and it was; the divine power that the Serafim had would disappear too.
What Abby had guessed was not wrong. A Serafim without her divine power would still be a Serafim, but what the used of her if it was her divine power that could destroy Decratic?
That was what Decratic aimed, that was what he wanted.
He wanted the Serafim for himself, but he feared her divine power that could kill him.
That was what this elaborated plot for.
He hurt her little by little, built the pain and agony and turned her to be a bitter person, eroded her kindness and crushed every hope she had for a better world.
Decratic wanted her heart to feel the pain and hatred, enmity and hostility for people around her, the disappointment for them. And once the five swords had broken completely and her heart was filled with nothing but animosity, she would come to his side.
In a way, the Serafim was already on his side once her heart was no longer ’pure’. That was Decratic goal, behind the reason for all of his action and decision.
And now, he got what he wanted...
He couldn’t be happier than this.
Na knew her purpose, she was well aware of the consequences once her heart filled with nothing, but hatred and bitterness, she knew her duty as the Serafim, thus when Decratic created a plot and made all the people to burn Lu alive, killed him, so Na would hate the people that she supposed to protect, it didn’t break her completely, because she understood Decratic was behind everything that happened and it would be her lost if she reacted the way Decratic wanted.
It took long time for Na to recover and clear her mind, kept her heart pure, but she got her control back.
However, the same thing didn’t happen with Iris.
============================
If Derick had to go to the battlefield, It meant he would meet with Cane there and he didn’t want it became the first time for him to meet with his former bestfriend’s son.
More so, how could Kellan agree to this?
"I want to speak with prince Kellan first!" Derick demanded, while Dexter only saw him with his cold eyes. "Did he really agree to this?"
"You can talk to him once you met with him in Diandem pack," Dexter said and then turned around, ending the conversation. He only came here to deliver the information and whether he would accept it or not, alpha Derick knew better. "Remember your daughter." That was the last thing Dexter said before he disappeared from alpha Derick and Cezi’s sight.
Arella was Kellan’s mate and if something happened to the prince, his daughter would have a hard time to survive in the palace.
Let alone in the palace, his daughter was literally in the hand of the king, her life depended on the loyalty Derick showed to the sovereign.
Cezi understood the situation too and he was very angry, but he didn’t know to whom this anger was directed to.
And miles away from the Celestial Moon pack, the Howling Wolf pack opened their fortress, all of their warriors stood in front of the gates.
The shifter had shifted into their beast and the knights had unsheathed their swords, while the alpha and the leader of the Holy Knights stood in front of them, leading their people for this battle.
They were enraged, you could feel their wrath in the air. The death of the alpha’s only daughter was what fueled them. They were blinded by anger and deafened by agony.
The baby was the only joy for them in this nasty battle, but she was snatched away from them under their nose, despite how tight the protection was given.
But of course, everything that he felt couldn’t be compared to what Iris had gone through right now.
