As if on cue, there were five beasts emerged from behind the rocks. They must have been here since the beginning and noticed there was someone else entered the area.
"Once I told you to shift, run and don’t look back," Cane said when Zale was about to protest, but the young boy immediately realized that was the best plan for them right now and nodded.
"I... I will bring a lot of people, I will bring reinforcement for you, alpha," he said with determination. "D- don’t die."
Cane said nothing and when the five beasts were about to attack him, he told Zale to shift and the young boy dashed away toward the campsite without looking back, just like what the alpha told him to do.
The only thing that he heard was vicious growled and the sickening sound of flesh was being torn. The little wolf tried to move faster and faster. He didn’t care when the sharp edges of the rocks around him cut his flesh, as he tried to reach the campsite as soon as possible.
He prayed there was nothing bad would happen to the alpha and the first thing he did when he reached the campsite was asking for help.
It was Joel and Pax, the first people Zale saw.
=================================
After such a long silence, Iris reached out her hand and grabbed the warrior’s hand again, which made him a little bit flustered to be touched by the luna.
This warrior was only having food poisoning, not Grebis disease. They would be fine after some rest and concoction from Grace, though it would take time for him to really recover.
However, what Iris did next, left them all speechless.
This time, Iris didn’t try to heal the warrior, she simply gave him her a bit of her divine power, but his body rejected it, as if there was something that rejected her power and this made his wolf spirit became restless.
Iris watched how the wolf spirit fidgeted and then narrowed her eyes at the way it responded to her divine power. The wolf spirit kept shaking its head, as if there was an invisible leash that tied around its neck and this made Iris pushed her divine power even more.
"Arrghh!" The warrior growled, as he felt the pain and Iris stopped what she was doing, still staring at the wolf spirit.
"Luna, what happened?" Grace asked carefully, she went to check on the warrior too, but was surprised to realize there was no more trace of poison in his system.
"This..." Grace was flabbergasted.
"What happened?" Jace immediately came closer to the healer and asked with concern in his voice. "Something happened?"
