Abby gathered her courage to come closer to Iris, she disregarded her own pain, because regardless of everything, as the Serafim this was her responsibility to bring peace into this world and what happened with Iris was one of the worst things that could happen.
With Liam’s help, Abby approached Iris, but Cedric came to her and tried to stop her. "Where do you think you are going?" Cedric asked. He was still dumbfounded of what the luna was capable to do. She looked very dangerous and as the Serafim’s protector, it was his duty to make sure she was out of harm way.
"We need to stop her!" Abby said hastily, she looked scared. "We need to reach her before something really bad happened!"
"What do you mean?" Cedric asked and the other three warriors came to them to hear Abby’s explanation about what was going to happen if they let the situation escalated.
The information that Abby relayed to them was something that only a Serafim knew and once Abby finished with her explanation, all of them got a better understanding of the critical situation they had right now.
At the same time, Lou was still trying to get through the protection spell that prevented them from coming closer to Iris.
"I don’t know that she can do protection spell!" Lou looked at the alpha, asking for clarification, but Cane was staring at Iris and the black wisp that surrounded her, he was in a deep thought. "Hey! Do you have any idea or plan about this?!" Lou was annoyed because he was being ignored.
Still, Cane didn’t pay close attention to him. He raised his hand and touched the transparent shield and closed his eyes, but when he opened them again, it was a pair of red eyes that you could see.
Lou was slightly taken aback to see this, because he knew he was not facing Cane, but the lycan instead. It was the cursed creature!
"Uhm, I don’t think this is a good idea to let him out now, Cane," Lou said with a frown. "The Serafim and her five underlings are coming this way." Lou nodded at the six people that approached them.
However, Lu didn’t listen to him. If there was one similarity between Cane and Lu, it must be their ability to ignore the thing that they didn’t deem important.
Right now, his focus was on his mate and the black wisp. Lu seemed to notice something, as he let out his own black wisp from his body and this made Abby and her five knights stopped in their track.
"Well, whoever you are, I don’t think I can cover you this time by saying the black wisp comes from me." Lou clicked his tongue. That was the excuse they gave to the people from the Holy Kingdom whenever they asked about the black wisp, though all of them knew it was a bullshit.
And yet, Lu didn’t respond to that too.
The black wisp surrounded the protection shield that Iris had created, it crawled on the surface of it, letting them knew the real size of the shield. It was big enough to accommodate three to four tents.
All of the people that watched this gasped. Most of the warriors and the knights didn’t have any idea what was going on, thus they could only look from the distance away and wait.
"Hey!" Lou tried to get attention from Cane or whoever he was right now. "What are you going to do?!"
They widened their eyes when they witnessed the black wisp that covered the entirety of the protection shield and a second later, they felt this strong shockwave that toppled them to the ground and a deafening sound from something was being broken.
Lou closed his eyes and the next thing he saw was only darkness, as if his surrounding was filled with this thick fog and he couldn’t see anything more than a meter away from him.
"What the hell?" Lou called for Cane and Iris, but there was no respond at all.
This murky and thick fog was a result of the broken protection shield that surrounded Iris and it was not a great deal for Lu to be able to find her.
Iris was standing still in the same place, staring at him with emptiness in her dark eyes. She balled her fists to see him and when Lu tried to come closer to her, she used the black wisp to attack him, which he dismissed with a wave of his hand.
"You can’t hurt me with my own power, Na," Lu said. His voice was very tender. "After all, I am the one, who gave you this power."
Iris didn’t say anything, but she kept trying to ward off Lu from coming closer to her, but when she couldn’t stop him, she turned around and was about to leave when Lu hugged her from behind. He hugged her so tightly and buried his face against the crook of her neck.
"Na, I know it’s you..." Lu said. The lycan was not like his usual self, he took things seriously and didn’t try to act recklessly like he used to. "I finally found you."
"I am going to kill them all," Iris said. "I am going to kill Decratic and everyone involved. I am going to kill them all."
"You know that you can’t kill him when you are like this. You feed his power with your anger and rage." Lu kissed her neck and Iris’s body was stiffened.
"I am going to kill him. He killed my babies. He killed you. He made the people burned you."
Hearing that, Lu knew exactly what happened right now. It seemed, Na’s memories and Iris’s memories fused together.
Just like Cane and Lu, Iris also had Na within her.
The only different between them was; Cane and Lu had their own personality and feeling, their emotions and what they thought were separated, it was two different entities within one body, but it didn’t happen with Iris.
