It was known that aside from the king, there was no one could have such a huge number of magic user, especially when they used them as the attacker in a battle. Raising an army of a magic user was a huge crime against the Holy Kingdom, since all the magic users were under the protection of the Holy Kingdom.

Of course, Koda told this as per Cane’s instruction. He was willing to do this because he was racked with anger after learning alpha Colter and Laluna tried to dismiss him.

"What did you say?" Cane pinched Iris’s chin, he was amused by her choice of word. "Devious?"

Iris laughed to see how Cane tried to intimidate her. In the past, she wouldn’t even dare to breathe a little bit louder when his face was only an inch away from her and his piercing black eyes penetrated hers.

However, Iris became bold now. She actually smirked at him and explained with her clear voice. "You let Kellan to deal with alpha Colter and make the elders deal with Koda, while you are out of the picture. No one will blame you if they met their demise when in fact, it’s you, who moved them all." Iris narrowed her eyes. "Devious."

Cane was speechless, if it was someone else, they would have paid for what they said, for cussing him right under his nose, but then, it was his sweet little mate, who just found a way to taunt him.

It didn’t mean he couldn’t punish her, right?

"You should watch what you said in front of an alpha, love." Cane brushed her lips with his thumb. These pretty lips smiled instead when she heard that.

"I am the luna. What the alpha will do to me now?" Iris’s blue eyes danced with mirth when Cane groaned.

"You are getting bold." Cane closed the window, preventing the sound of alpha Xarex’s angry voice came inside the carriage and ruining this mood. "You need to be punished, luna."

Iris was about to say something, but Cane had devoured her lips. She knew it would end like this and somehow, she learned how to turn him on. Actually, it was not that hard... just teased him here and there, and he would show her his frustration.
